Alright, I'm testing it on my fully charged Yellow Top Battery. The load tester says to not hold down the load for more than 10 seconds, but it doesn't specify how many times I can use the load without overheating the tester. I've already done atleast 5 rounds but the yellow top would only drop to 12.3V. I have to drop it below 12 before I start charging it right?

I'm also recording short clips of this for later if those who are interested.

waiting for my 8 ton crimper to get here.

  10. Wow. That's great news! It's always a bitch to see your batteries get drained slowly especially for that long.
  11. I agree, you don't need that much precision and accuracy for car audio voltage readings. Cheaper DMM FTW! However, I've always wanted a Fluke brand DMM just because all the Engineers use one
  12. All of the sh!t here and there that I've been buying for my install is starting to add up :(

Yeah it will add up and before you know it you will be in so deep and wondering how the heck and why the heck you spent that much money on car stereo equipment.

  13. Got my XS XP3000 with rest voltage of 12.7V, I did a full charge on it to 13.1V and it only dropped to 13.0V after 2 days of resting in the garage. Pretty solid battery these are. As for the D2400, I'm still working on that one to get it to rest at a higher voltage.
  14. Tempting. What would the power rated be at 12.8V? I'm not too confident with my current to be electrical of DC Power 270A + XS D2400 + XP3000 +(Maybe my old Yellow Top too)
  15. The XS D2400 voltage is now at 12.7V I've sent Nathan@XSPOWER a PM to figure this out.
  16. Yeah I think you're right. I checked the Voltage on my XS XP3000 that's been sitting in my office ever since I've received it and it read 12.7V (I think it was at 12.8V when I first got it, i'll have to check my old posts for the #'s). I just went and checked my XS D2400 again and it read 12.8V Edit: wow my XP3000 never dropped a single voltage. I got it at 12.7 and it's still at 12.7V. I'm charging my XP3000 now @ 14V http://www.down4sound.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364 I've also read this thread: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/34694-getting-that-resting-voltage-up/page__st__20 From what I see, I should charge the battery on float mode for a week so that the battery learns to stay rested at a higher voltage? But someone above brought to my attention that the battery should not drop that fast. What to do?
  17. I hope my XS D2400 is not a defected Battery :(
