well thats the issue. the bolts on the back of these snap off cuz they get rusted and its a metal stud in a plastic trim. so im sure a used one will be broken just the same. here is a pic of the piece

does anyone know of any places to get trim pieses for your car. i cant find the piece i need anywhere. i need the licence plate light trim on a 2002 focus zx3. the dealer wants 130 bucks for a cheap piece of plastic. i have tried ebay with no luck. i figured someone might know a site. thanks

i dont need it. it didnt get any louder. it just sounded cleaner. like the amp wasnt working as hard. which it isnt since it isnt having to offset the gain itself. my aq's are 8v - .02 i believe

i have a pioneer deh-p8400bh and it have 4 volt preouts and i use a line driver to bump it up to 8 volts for my amps. its not a dumb idea. the amps seem to like it the sound better. especially the 4 channel. no more light hiss at all under any condition.

hey man i am an installer at best buy. i know im gonna get shit for it but i go louder than best buy thinks about lol. anyway i am not mecp cert. but only because i havent gone to take the test. i need to. but i have had to train MECP cert people b4 how to do things. so i say hang around here, get more hands on experience and you will be fine. also what they said about pay is about right. i make slightly higher than ibleedmusic said. so it isnt a huge money maker. i just love car audio

At the risk of sounding like a complete noob, im at 140-143 now on music, Im going to double the wattage, and add 50% more cubes. Thats not enough to gain 7db? How much more do you think it would take? Really appreciate all you guys help!! it takes alot and the louder u get the more the car pushes back against the system. do u have any elecrical upgrades? what meter did u ger a 140- 143 on? someone explained it once. its like crushing a pop can with your hands. its real easy at first but the more u crush it the more it fights back

are u wanting a 150 on tone or music? if your looking to do a 150 on music your going to need more power

im with ray. its hard to say cuz its not ALL just about cone area. tunning, electrical, and the way the port and subs are faceing all play a roll in both installs and will change between the installs

I have a PAC RCA gain control knob sir not the amp gains I just meant the sub level controller was at about half and my HU was 4-5 clicks away from clip still has a lot to go 10-4. thanks for clearing that up sir
