Say what? Trunk Blowthrough for 4 sa-12s?
Sanitarium replied to BEEMDUB's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Trunk boxes are not blowthroughs unless the rear seat doesn't gold down and you cut out so you can port through the rear deck or arm rest. Also, like said, not enough airspace. -
guess i missed that. maybe on back order. i'd call personally while waiting on a response here

I'm pretty sure nobody in this thread has hated on the DD-1. The arguement, is the result of the DD-1 vs a scope and a DMM. As far as I am concerned, a scope and a DD-1 will give you the same result. The only difference, is that with the scope you see the wave soft clip and stop increasing the gain and with the DD-1 the light turns on and you stop increasing the gain. With a DMM you are actually guessing because you are assuming the amp puts out rated and the farther the amp gets away from its rating the more inaccurate your gain setting will be. You are the bus driver on the road to Dbs be careful and understand that shit happens with or without a DD-1 or Scope. -Drew Very well said. -notDrew -

With my old setup I would drop to the 12s at full tilt, so I would just use the dd1 to set my gains with the car off, so all of my electronics were seeing my resting voltage of 12.8. how would you set your gains with the car off if you are dropping to 12's at full tilt with the car on? If you were using the dd-1 correctly and how it should be used then you would have been dropping way below 12v with the car off set gains at 9v yo that way you always clean -
I find the best way to approach answering a situation/question like this is as follows: If you have to ask, don't.

that just means you need to buy 10 more alternators. duhhh -
I think the important thing here is to make sure the OP isn't dumb enough to UP convert from low bitrate .mp3 to .wav or .flac If you're gonna make a .wav or .flac file, start with clean source material to begin with. IE: directly off the cd
