  2. fiberglassing sucks. i wish I wasn't using fiberglass matte

That crap sucks! Try proper cloth, or a heavier matte, it really helps.

  3. Sealing up the SA-8 v.2 is really not a good move for them -- the motor is far too powerful for sealed. I am working on a new model, SD-2 8, that will do very well sealed. what about v.1 series?
  4. trying this calc, but im confused on the square port ratio part...? there is a range that you want to aim for... I think it's 14-17 in^2 / ft^3 for port... or 12 for aeroport because of efficiency. Each sub reacts differently to the box so keep that in mind
  5. looks like a great little box for them. I'm interested in how they would sound if I did 2 sealed in trunk along with my 12 ported
  6. I think a wagon with subs up port back might work ds1919, thanks for the shorter interest list you kinda summed it up with one word there LOL
  7. it's Singer, close enough if you tell them what application you want then they can probably do it for you
  8. I can vouch for Mike Singer's CS. My alt didn't fit, but before you go bashing him, the bolt pattern was right but the alt diameter was too big for my car. He says that this is the first problem he has had with this alt and a Zx2. The last Zx2 he did was 6G instead of 3G case like mine. Anyway he helped me try to make it work via FB message and when I determined that it wouldn't work he said he would make another one with stock casing (not as good cooling as larger casing). I'll be driving to see him probably next weekend, and if he can't make it work with longer screws and washer spacers then we will just go with the one he is making now.
  9. I've never heard his stuff on my system or anyone else' for that matter, but if you say it slams then it's gotta. I'll look into getting it.... after my battery, fiberglassing, 1/0 wire, H/O alt.... it never ends
  10. After a summer of living by myself, I'm finding more satisfaction doing car audio than going to parties lol. SOMETHING is wrong here

I'm 21 so legally I couldn't really get in trouble if I was just drinking at a party I wouldn't think. At least it takes away most of my money so I don't buy booz a lot LOL

That is a good thing. Car Audio is an expensive hobby, but everytime my family says something to me about how much time and money I have put into it, my response is always "there are alot worse things I could be doing"

  11. I saw my first amp fire last night

nah it wasn't me. It was a Massive Audio 4000wrms amp that cause fire when the car was OFF and the HU was OFF but the amp was still on somehow...

Look under forum technical difficulties I believe there is a thread.  10 points and every post you make has to be mod approved.  Its like a rap sheet so if you are punished by different mods they can read previous problems

I have an AP15001D if that will work too ;) I'll give it a shot some time here. I think they would look better with a little tint to them. Thanks

idk how the laws are over where you are, but down here in AZ they are really getting down on people for tinted lights

  17. I have a unibody frame so it's more difficult in my car, but you can do that. What difficulties do you have running it through firewall? You could drill your own holes and put grommets on it or put it through stock grommet with electrical tape and wire hanger. Make sure to lube up wire too with some type of car grease
  18. who did you cantact DC power Singer Mechman Ohio Gen Exessive Amperage You're bound to find one to replace the tiny alts that they give those cars lol. I think stock is 60amps
  19. what everyone else said. I'm pretty sure last thread I saw like this someone said "attach the box to the back of the seat so you can have up forward port forward when it's down and sub up port up when it's up" LMAO.... but yea sub up port back.
  20. 400 for the pair.. that sounds too expensive. how much power can they take?check this guy out, he's pretty good. He sold me a recone that could handle 3000wrms for my dc lvl 4 12" for less than what you paid for 1 http://www.facebook.com/splaudio.dean
  21. damn bro that sucks. I hope you didn't pay a lot. I know SPL audio on facebook does nice recones and reasonable prices.
