It can be done, however the drop in recone would have to be made by them to get the coil height correct, if they would be willing to do this However the spiders (Just a weaker spider pack with less spiders), cone, surround, tinsels are all the same from BL to BTL, from what I remember the coils are almost identical too. The inner and outer gap of the motor are the same for fully loaded BL to BTL, however the BL woofer has slightly shallower gap and would require the voicecoil to be at a different height. Otherwise the BTL drop in recone, will more then likely bottom out in the BL motor.

I wouldnt suggust using them if you plan to put more then 1000-1500watts rms to the pair (and 1500 is really pushing it).

His rear d3100s are fine, they are brand spaking new for the most part (like I wish my batteries were 1/8 the condition of his). And both of his d3100s read realitively the same. I remeber checking them when they were at my house when I showed him how to recone his woofers, and build a box. Wish you lived closer man, or I had the spare cash to drive up by ya to trouble shoot this more.

When in fact your the one asking for help for something so simple but you obviously dont have the knowledge to do it yourself so how you can discredit anyone else is way beyond me.....

Ive used it for countless boxes including my current box Never had any issues with it.. As the different values you are saying, I think you mean thiele small parameters. And generally these parameters are taken with a woofer that is not broke in, and change majorly once the suspension is loosened up. Also the speakers are measured with 1 watt iirc to get these parameters. So unless your planning to play the woofer free air and only giving it 1 watt of power, these said thiele small parameters or "values" as you put it mean so little. Now at times the thiele small parameters come in handy when your going for a crazy design such as transmission line, 4th or 6th order bandpass. But for a simple sealed box, or bass reflex style box they dont help too much. So if you think that the Torres calculator is not so great, go buy BassBox Pro 6 (or illegally pirate it, which is easy to find on google) and build a box using said thiele small parameters. But I can guarentee once you plot the box, you will not like how peaky the sub will play, and it will only sound that much worse if you go thru with said box.

The hixm coil is a added feature that results in using a voice coil with a longer wire winding height around the former which will result in more xmax The cooling is multiple vents drilled vertically around the voice coil gap to allow air to go down and around the voice coil for far better cooling. The cooling option also includes the p chamfer which is just that, a chamfer around the bottom of the pole to also bring the air down and around under the coil. It also eliminates some of the back pressure against the dust cap. The cooling options are somthing that can not be seen by the eye unless the woofer is tore apart. So i will include 2 images of what the cooling options are. First up is a DC Audio lvl 4 XL I just reconed, this motor/magnet has no cooling vents except the pole piece (which is the part in the middle of the motor with the big hole in it). This next motor is an Ascendant Audio Mayhem (which is simular to the first gen BTL). It comes stock fully loaded as people say. You will notice this does not have a vented pole piece, but around the gap the voice coil sits in has 6 smaller vents drilled thru which allows the air to move in/out around both sides of the coil keeping it cool.

Last I knew US Patents dont mean nothing in China, so Im sure lawsuits are useless No difference then all the knock off dre beats and most people are none the wiser to them. Only thing missing on the fake beats are the Copyrighted and Registered trademark logos. Id still rather pay for the real deal, then a imitation that works half assed or no where near as accurate.

This is cool and all, but we all know what happens when something quality like ends up in the hands of a china man... You will see boot leg DD-1s flying off the shelfs due to the no patent laws. Couldnt agree more!! Or any amp for that matter using vertical mosfets. Never again will I buy something with vertical mosfets, or for that matter any amp that does not use proper pcb bracing FTL!

Oh and just seen the no police report part... good luck with that in court! Lol Most states will require a police report for criminal damage to property. your better of not even bothering or else if you lose your case your stuck paying court cost and fees too!

How it goes if you are found the winner is, the judge will take your estimates as well as any estimates that the other parties have gathered. He will then usually find a happy medium of the estimates giving to them and will award you a certain amount of money for said repairs. However if the shop you want the car to get fixed at wants $3000, and all your estimates are in that price range, and the other parties estimates are in the $2000 range, most likely you will get awarded the difference of your estimates and theirs making it $2500. Now you can do whatever you want with that $2500, and have that shop that quoted you $3000 to repair the vehicle, but your stuck paying the difference, or even say screw the repairs and pocket the cash. A lot of times people are in good terms with certain shops, so of coarse your going to goto the shop for an estimate that you know will help you out by getting more money then needed for the repairs, while its the complete opposite for the guilty parties, and they may goto their mechanic that is a friend or something simular and he will say well I can fix this damage for only $1000. This is why the judge will normally find a happy medium. On last thing to remember. Small claims court will just put a judgement for money on the guilty parties. It will be put on their Credit Report, if they dont pay making loans and other financing hard to get. So if you win your case, you will not immediately get paid, hell you may never get paid, or maybe get paid $10 bucks a month. The guilty party may file for bankruptcy leaving you totally fucked over. Now if you are smart, you would have insurance, then your insurance will cover the damage even tho its not your fault, and they would take their lawyers and go after the guilty parties, without any cost to you.
