  1. Im a dealer for the products from the Antheny himself "The DD-1+, CC-1, & AMM-1 is currently out of stock but is in the process of being built, and the CC-1s are right around the corner". I will be putting in a order for the rest of the line of tools to stock once they are available, Free Shipping on orders $99 or more, or local pickup is an option. If you cant wait and want to drive I have a DD-1, DD-1+, CC-1, AMM-1, IM-SG, a Fluke and a Craftsman Clamp meter, a Fluke DMM, and dual sensor Term-Lab (non magnum, its the most recent version prior to the magnum release, for as little as it gets used its not worth while to reinvest in the new one).

  4. If your using the internal deck amplifier for ANY speakers you want to set all aftermarket amps to the max volume that your radios internal amp is distortion free. So in your case volume 48 is what you tune everything around.
  5. Whats on my mind? Alternator started whining like a supercharger when I started my car and voltage was down to 11.5 volts. Managed to make the 45 minute drive back to town and as I go and turn on to my street I lose power steering and a message pops up saying service power steering.... SMH

you sure it was your alternator? ps pumps make a high whine when they're dying (some gm water pumps too).

considering the alternator is making a huge whine when I use the good ol mechanics stethoscope and pinpoint the noise to the alt and voltage is kind of normal at high rpms Im sure its that..
right now no idea with the power steering it comes and it goes. not sure if its alt related or what.

  7. If its the DC branded basket your not going to find it online for sale anywhere unless its used (which people normally dont sell used). The only place you'll be able to get it is from DC direct, and they most likely wont sell just the basket alone unless you order the recone with it, and even then they would most likely want you to send it in to them. Many companies with exclusive baskets will not offer them to people to buy because they will want to take those parts and build a woofer with a bunch of different manufactures parts. Sundown is the same way with their branded baskets.
  8. Well I guess I better come pick up that DGAF Toyota sooner than later so you have room!

  16. If its working on the deck then its not broke, it has no way to distinguish what it is hooked up too (ie a deck, rca, or amp). Most likely may have subwoofer volume or SLA turned up too high, both will cause distortion if set too high. IIRC neither the SLA or Subwoofer volume be distortion free when either are turned all the way up (even though the headunit volume is distortion free, those other 2 need to be manually adjusted). So your best to find the max headunit volume with those other 2 settings at 0, then turn SLA up until you see distortion (usually around volume 2-4). Then do the same for subwoofer volume that goes from -10db to 0db or something like that. Re-Read the manual on page 12 as well. 10. Play track 1 on test CD 11. Set the headunit’s bass, treble, EQ’s, crossovers to flat 12. Set the headunit’s volume to the maximum undistorted volume setting that was measured with the DD-1+ previously. 13. The unit should display 40Hz Detect, along with the voltage reading of the signal. 14. Slowly turn up the amplifier’s gain setting until the Distortion LED illuminates continuously. Leave Gain Setting such that Distortion LED remains on, then PRESS "READ" button. 15. Change track to 3 on test CD, DD-1+ will show current gain overlap setting. 16. Adjust the gain control on the amplifier until the desired gain overlap setting is achived.
  17. You could also email D'Amore Engineering, but they are SWAMPED so it may take longer to hear back.
  18. Whats broke? They will usually warranty problems if they arise since its so seldom. email Antheny at [email protected]
