  2. I think it is fucking halarious that a kid on caco can talk shit about this site and steve meade, but then be a regular on this site like its nothing.... Hmmm

grrrrr you did? ok now that is where i draw the line LOL - i think me NOT going to other sites has made me a little naive. I dont see the shit talking so i dont know who the enemy is. Its depressing and it raises my bloodpressure to read what these people say so i just steer clear when possible.

  3. My question is what kind of tint are you currently using or have installed? and usually any film under 5% is some garbage tint. Good film companies (llumar, suntek, etc) dont make a film lower then 5% that Im aware of. I run suntek carbon 5% on my tahoe and can barly see in the side windows in daylight. I also installed some 5% llumar on a boat for a friend and its the same way for the most part. Im assuming you got some bogus brand film on your car like gila, or some other crap died brand tint sold at your local autoparts store that will fade even tho it is "fade resistant" lol
  4. Flat wound coils are usually cheaper because they are an aluminum winding on the former, but doesnt always make it cheaper (companies like audioque charge more for an aluminum coil). The pros of a flat wound aluminum coil are: they can normally handle more heat. Which in return gives you a voice coil that will handle more power. The aluminum wound coil will also be a bit lighter in weight. The cons of a flat wound coil is: Its aluminum and my result in a lower BL vs the copper, and may not sound as good as a copper wound coil (so if your going for SQ, you may want copper) however you said they are RE motors so I highly doubt SQ is in mind. But these things change from one woofer/coil brand to another. The average person can not really tell the difference between the 2 coils, and would go with whats cheaper if your on a budget. You can simply google it and see many asking the same questions. However many of the replies favor one over the other and vice versa. It really comes down to the speaker, what maybe louder in one sub, maybe quieter in another sub. http://www.google.com/search?source=ig&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS276&=&q=copper+vs+aluminum+voice+coils&aq=0v&aqi=g-v1&aql=&oq=copper+vs+aluminum+v
  5. I see nothing special about them, just average priced average sounding components. I dont think Cresendo will be around much longer personally.
  6. check the classifieds. a few gm alts in there that will fit 4.3L 5.3L and 5.7L chevys
  7. See this is what I was talking to meade about last week with the SOTM... Thanks for giving me such a great example. Someone like this kid should be the one to win SOTM, because he is doing him with what he has, even tho its not the best, but Im sure he could use some nice MB Quart setup instead of some guy with 2+ high dollar subs, and 10watts that will either just sell the stuff won or use it in their other car. So the guy has a sony amp! Im glad you are able to point that out. All and all I looked thru his build log and he is working with what he has. Just because its not DC woofers, and Sundown amps or whatever the current bandwagon maybe at the time, the kid should get some respect. Not everyone on this site didnt start out with a huge killer system, and I know you didnt either.
  8. Wow lots of stupid people in this thread....... Talking about rims, and doors......... All the OP wants to know is how to change his grill over from one style to another.
  9. ^^^^^^^^LOL The grill has a billet aluminum insert. Not sure what color your current grill is (if its green like your truck, or chrome). But usually when you do billet inserts you cut out the factory grill and install the billet grill. However sometimes you get lucky and the inner section just unscrews/bolts. Otherwise you maybe able to buy the entire assembly from a after market company (i think KMC Truck has a lot of add ons for Chevys and other makes (i know they have a whole catalog just for my style tahoe/surburbons of things just for my truck, they maybe the same with the exploders). Just a quick search on ebay for "explorer grill" and this pops up http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-03-04-05-FORD-EXPLORER-UPPER-BILLET-GRILLE-GRILL-NEW-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aExplorerQQhashZitem2a0e8706b1QQitemZ180632356529QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1995-1996-1997-1998-FORD-EXPLORER-2-4DR-GRILL-GRILLE-XL-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27afc137edQQitemZ170452400109QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-2005-FORD-EXPLORER-VERTICAL-FRONT-GRILL-GRILLE-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQfitsZModelQ3aExplorerQQhashZitem519816084aQQitemZ350443931722QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-Ford-Explorer-Sport-Style-All-Chrome-Vertical-Grille-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem53e674fa69QQitemZ360348711529QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories So you have a few options to work with
  10. Yes, I remember that too, but most of their major online retailers all have normal pricing as of thus far. we still didnt even get a new price sheet at the shop with the higher prices yet that Im aware of (could of missed it tho). There could be millions of reasons due to price increase for all we know.
  11. Yea, Prices on the new batteries are to go up drastically, but I havent really seen much of anything as of yet. You can got places like Summit racing http://www.summitracing.com/search/?Ns=Price|Desc&keyword=xs+power&RC=100 and get the D3100 for $350 and the D3400 for $240 which those have been the prices for the last 3ish years or so (but are the old batteries, not the new ones with the new sticker packs). However the D2700 is $407! and this battery usually is cheaper then the D3100 (so it maybe a newer battery im thinking) but if thats the case, expect the new D3100 to be pushing $450-475 each! which would be ridiculous. The new sticker packs on the D3100s from XS's facebook
  12. lol But you still dont have the very epic bass enhanced Sinead OConnor - Nothing Compares To You :yahoo:
  13. I will be a dick and say I expected much more from you! I know you got more talent then that!!!
  14. I use the 105, and my subwoofer volume is maxed out at 15, and my main volume never goes past 24 which is normally no clipping to a slight clip (depending on song). but if your using imprint and your sub stage is rather loud compared to your front/rear stage, imprint will turn your sub stage down to equalize everything. So your better of tuning imprint with the subs turned down or else it will be limited so bad you will never get full power from your subs amp.
  15. It is far from being Focal, so get that idea out of your head OP. Focal uses more then 4 bolts to hold the top/bottom plate together and are counter sunk into the bottom plate. The top and bottom plates are completely different.
  16. Oh Nana whats my name?!?

  17. Good thread Idea! Ive been wondering too, so I can edit some vids. usually I just record and upload. lol otherwise I hear people saying Pinnacle 14
  18. I haz a feeling your new lexus rims are going to look nice (because they seem to look simular to mine, minus the 3piece part)... FFUUUUUUUUUUU
