  1. what do you mean? the way i understand it is.. the FS is the lowest your box can play before the -3db roll off.. i think you can play under tuning if you got the port.. just not the FS.. thats how i understand it. i dont purposefully play under tuning anyways. Playing under tuning is pretty much unavoidable unless your tuned insanely low or never play songs that get low at all, but when running 2k rms to a 600rms sub even playing above tuning can give the subs suspension hell. At op why don't you just get a 1500rms amp for the pair and call it a day so you don't have to worry about blowing a sub?
  2. yeah and you better not play more than 4hz below tuning unless you want to unload the hell out of the subs.
  3. when people say daily that's complete bullshit, more like "yeah i can play one song full tilt then let the subs cool down for 15min and play another song full tilt, or i can play 30 sec increments of songs full tilt" i don't care what anyone says you can't push more than 1k clean rms to each SA for full tilt non stop, it wasn't built for that which is why its rated at 600rms.
  4. A crescendo bc2000 would keep those subs happy BTW are those 2 15s going in the TA?
  5. American bass xfls can be had for 195 iirc and they can take a solid 1500rms each.
  6. Finding where to run large amounts of power wire through the firewall always gives me a hard time.
  7. My 15" mayhems were in a wall tuned to 35 hz. I peaked at 45 hz and completely bottomed on anything below 33 hz. I highly doubt that, youre either doing something wrong, shitty enclosure or a stupid amount of power, my vvxs on a 3.5k at a .5 ohm load didnt bottom out at 28hz when tuned to 36.
  8. 2 18's can get very painful in a wall on that kind of power, but it is kind of pointless to tune that low with such high caliber subs, if you had some piece of shit subs then yeah tuning low would help you get low but with mayhems you can tune mid to high 30's and still pick up 26hz+, tuning below 34hz with mayhems is kind of pointless IMO.
  9. I dont collect mini bottles, I collect all the big rum, vodka, tequila, and whiskey bottles that my dad and his friends drink over time, I fill them up with water, put a bunch of drops of highlighter fluid and put a blacklight behind them and watch them glow, I just wish I had a specific cabinet for them so i wouldnt have them scattered all around my room.

  11. Once a scammer always a scammer.
  12. Maybe youve had bad luck with them, my friend is running two hdc3 12s copper coils on a 3.5k and they take the power just fine, box isnt small either tuned to 30hz. Box was designed by bassheadsent.
  13. From my understanding the xmax of the sub is irrelevent to being able to play lows if your tuned low the sub will move less the closer you play to tuning, if your tuned to 22hz then you should be able to play 22hz no problem, now if you want to tune to 36hz and still play very low into the 20s then youd need a sub with a higher xmax and stiffer suspension so you wont unload the suspension or possibly bottom out the coil, I wouldnt try to get very low with.those subs as the power handeling and motor force isnt there. Maybe someone with.more experience will chime in and clear things up a bit.
  14. Not to sound like a dick, but with your kind of budget that kind of system wont happen, the amp or amps will cost you 900+ unless you want to go the cheap way, batts will be no less than 600+ unless you buy cheap batts or used, a h/o alt 400+, subs to handle 6k 300+ each sub, sound deadener, mids and highs upgrades, multiple runs of zero gauge, possibly custom door pods, materials for box building, imo bring your budget up to 4k+ or step down to maybe 3k-4k in power.
  15. This x2 800 per driver in a well built enclosure and you dont have to worry about bottoming out the coil when playing a little too much below tuning and you can waile on them song after song and not have them blow due to.thermal power handeling.
  16. Dc and aq amps are the same, if it really bothers you the best solution would be a pac lc-1, and you can turn the bass all the way down whenever you want. Thats just my opinion though.
  17. Your distortion is more than likely head unit power, get an amp on those speakers and watch them come to life.
  18. holy shit that fucker hauls ass!
