  1. always pre-drill using screws on MDF. and you won't even need to seal the box if your cuts are accurate and you have no gaps. edit: gadamn super ninjas
  2. then go back to the shop and tell them this is happening? Cool that you want to fix it yourself, but if you paid for this install and its not working correctly, then you should go back and get your moneys worth.
  3. sometimes, only friends think friends are funny.....
  4. haha thats what I figured....when their description starts talking about "top notch components", you already have an idea
  5. interesting....Id like to know price though.
  6. damn, that dog's been through a lot. sounds like the perfect name for him man
  7. buffing with a medium compound and then fine should do it. and 3M makes their "eraser wheel" same thing as the OP posted just white and smooth. They are a must for body shops.
  8. wouldn't make that trade. quantum is cheap shit IMO
  9. all that, 1 battery....and your saying you know how to watch for clipping? I doubt those amps will even power up at that low of an ohm load; and if they do, I wouldn't be surprised if you fried them.
  10. this is true i sell on craigslist first to make more but i in no way over push my product saying its better than another or wont do what its capable of He never said its better than anything. I see a person trying to sell a sub that isn't well known by the majority so he elects to compare it to a more well-known company. then I see a thread made making fun of him for doing so. edit: but I don't argue with people who have the time to do this. since when is Fi not known by the majority? and wouldn't a normal buyer of any product do a little research before they drop hundreds of dollars? hahaha Fi is not a well known company out of the drag lanes and major to moderate audio enthusiasts.....which would you say is more well known JL or Fi? The guys trying to sell on craiglist not CACO.....and no, the "normal buyer" doesn't do a lot of research on something they don't care much about....the same reason why companies like Dual and Pyramid can still sell their products. however, this is a dumb thread to be trying to prove a point over

  12. dude's just trying to make a buck, why don't you do some more learning instead of harassing people. threads like these serve zero purpose.
  13. skittles is right. caulking wouldn't do a thing with this. only thing I can think of is make something that pulls that latch in tight.
  14. did you happen to scour CACO for anything? that sounds like the right price point for a good used amp.....unless your sworn to just buy new
  15. how far is that port gonna be from the seats man? looks like it'll be choked out....
  16. college kids man.....when I was in philly, there must have been 5-6 weekends in a row where some drunk asshole would pull the fire alarm at 6 a.m. on a saturday or sunday morning. Make everyone evacuate the building
  17. the only thing you can use is Duraglas or a similar fiberglass reinforced filler, but it cannot be used very thick, and regular fillers won't be good for any structural application
  18. ^^hahaha cuz its not a B series? Ive owned 2 F series and one H series....the H had seal problems and 400 bucks fixed that. I wouldn't call it overall "crappy"....however, I would call there auto transmissions worth shit. I believe they are zero tolerance....
  19. for 200 bucks? take it and drop a new engine in it as long as the body is decent.
  20. if you go on pioneer's site and download the owner's manual, it says it right under specs..... Vas- Equivalent air compliance. The volume of air that has the same compliance ("springiness") as the driver's suspension. Because less air is more "springy" than more air, a large Vas represents a "loose" suspension ^^taken from subwoofer DIY
  21. Rev is right....owners manual says .064 cubic feet per woofer for displacement....your probably reading it in liters
