  1. So i have what i think is a pretty simple question. If i have a regular flooded battery as a starter battery can i use an XS power battery as a supplement to my car audio system. for now it would be a saz 1500d at 2 ohms, so only about 800 or so watts, which i know is not much for that battery but when i get some different subs and wire to 1 ohm ill be around 1500 watts. my main question is would i HAVE to run a relay as to separate the batteries when the car is off? would their be a constant push/pull from the two batteries that could potentially cause the batteries to drop below 12.6 while im not using the car. the longest i go without using my car is about 4 to 6 days. its rare that i ever go a full week without at least cranking it and letting the regular battery charge a bit while i listen to some music. Thanks in advance to everyone who answers!
  2. So I noticed the db-r has a 1500d for sale at an awesome price but it is the older second version. My question is. Having vastly different boards (from the pictures I've seen) how much different it is than the newer version. I know output is going to be a small difference but what about cooling ability ( I realize the v3 has a fan) and overall reliability? Thanks!
  3. Thanks! and yeah the reason i have them set at around 85hz is because i dont have an external amp for my mids and my headunit only allows my mids to to crossed over at 100 hz or have everything pass though and at 70 hz it has a little too big of a gap and sounds weird haha. but my subs arent getting much right now so the "higher" notes arent doing any damage. ive been saving up for a while now for the x 15 or x 12 and an saz1500 or the SCV1500 when it comes out.
  4. I know that in the description of the sundown x series that they are low frequency drivers and do not expect to have them excel at high frequency bass notes. what is considered high frequency for this sub because everyone has a different definition of what a high frequency bass note is. my crossover is set to 85 hz give or take a few hz. Thanks Greg
  5. What if any are the differences in the sax-1200D and the saz-1200D? Thanks,
  6. i gotcha. thanks everyone!
  7. I know DC amps do rated power but are they underrated like some other brands out there? if so by how much if anyone knows. thanks!
  8. Hey guys! Does anyone know if the DC amps use differential or single ended RCA inputs? Thanks to anyone who can help out!
  9. Okay so i know im new to this stuff but im just wondering. what would be louder. a level 4 or XL on a 2.0k in the same box. and why? just wondering.
  10. i was looking for actual power. i dont have any friends with DC equipment around here so i dont know what they really do. and rated at 12.6 is alot more than i thought.. if i go with the 2k i'm getting a mechman alternator but im not totally sure on whether to go with a 1.2k and a level 4 or 2.0k and an XL. i like really hard hitting low bass. but very musical. i do not compete.
  11. So i know the amps at least do rated. but do they put out any more than rated? if so approximately how much for a 1.2k and a 2.0k? thanks
  12. What is the benefit to having level 4's with level 5 coils? and how much of a price difference is it? thanks!
