  1. First 8ight i disagree. becauae 4 of the terminals i get no signal... and 4 of the terminals i get signal... If the dd1 only reads the positive signal.. Then that means the positive ones are the only ones who give out signal. The signal isn't being shared over different terminals. But what messes me up is maybe I have a switch on the 4/2 ch operation messed up. Because the outside diagram I hooked it up + - + - ect... But I never had ANY mid bass at all. And I switch it around according to what my dd1 says by detecting the signal since it can't detect from the negative terminal... After I switch it it sounds way better.
  2. So recently I found out my headunit clips at 56/62 not 60/62. My DD1 said it wasn't clipping but I could hear distortion on my 1k tone after 56 just not very loud. So I re set my gains on 56/62 and unplugged all the negative speaker wires out of my t600-4... After that I grounded the dd1 and proceeded to plug my positive probe on the positive terminal for ch1... It worked... But then when I did that to channel 3.... The light didn't detect 1k on the "+" terminal.... So I did the positive of ch4 and the same thing..... No light... Just out of curious its I plugged it in the negative terminals for those channels and I got 1khz detect! So when I thought my terminals went + - + - + - + - .... They actually go + - - + + - - +.... So for months not only was I clipping my signal but my speakers were out of polarity... So I got a cleaner sund and less cancelation by using the DD1.... Say hello to mid bass
  3. I got mine from Robin Butler, Iamapimp3 or something here on SMD. Ask him maybe
  4. This is me getting mind fucked by this amazing offer...... now the question is.... where to put steves meter?
  5. Someone post up the shops business number and let SMD ass rape them for that install
  6. thanks man i appreciate that.sorry guys, i still own the van but i am working on the Honda at the moment. Van = next. Plus, getting woofers from Scott is like ordering autographed American flags from Kim Jong UN..... Lmao.... Might have to use that one
  7. Looks like the stuff you see on those street ball competition. Heat ftw also.
  8. I'm curious if he means seat OUT or just folded aswell... Id want DB's lol
  9. Interesting... Can it be explained what makes the 3500 so much more powerful compared to its smaller brother the 2500 even though they are about the same size?
  10. 2 more NS1's and redo it as a 4th order wall = MOTHER OF GOD meme
  11. I think there was some compression issue. Because I'm listening to it now and it sounds perfect. I cant hear that slight crackle that distorts psyphs voice. where as before i could hear it atleast 6 times during the song. that was not even 5 months ago. Interesting. Any thoughts anyone? I wonder how it could be fixed now
  12. Hey Steve did you ever notice the very slight issue with his song "dope" on the cd? Right around 1:00 it cuts out / distorts his voice. Check closely and see if you notice. I think I counted it 5 times during that song. I couldn't listen to that song cause I was scared for my tweeters. It's such an awesome song too.. Hope you find it. I made a thread on this a while back with a video demonstrating it if you wanna search it. Thanks man! Can't wait for his next song that you should leak
  13. I wasn't expecting that crazy of a hair trick either. Great stuff though. Could it hit louder DB's then the Tahoe? I wonder
  14. That is a mint set! Eye candy fo sho. Make these sets as a collector edition?
  15. If a 150 at 25-30hz happens ill be switching companies. Also maxing a credit card lol
  16. i really liked this build at SBN. very well done. not a monster ground pounder but it sounded like it got down pretty good for 8's
  17. Only way anyone can get you even close is if they own a dd1 / oscope and have your same headunit (to find clipping point) and even then they could only help with the gains if they had your same headunit AND amps even then it wouldn't be exact. 6v pre outs means generally lower gain, between no gain and 14% gain. 4v pre outs means low gain also but higher then 6v settings, generally 15% to 20% and 2v pre out is the base line on aftermarket headunits and they normally require 21% to 40% gain. All of that is not reliable, and is only to give you an idea how the output voltage of your headunit effects your gain settings assuming you know exactly where the volume clips on the headunit. Generally I'd set everything half of what I recommended above to your matching output voltage just to be safe till you find some way to do it properly. Once you do, simply find the clipping point with a -0db tone on 1k and on 40hz, pick the lower of the numbers. And then use -5db 1khz to set the gain on your 175.4 and use -5 or -10 for your 2k. If someone tries to flame over the above on gains, that was me really trying to at least get him started but still safe till he can do it properly
  18. Mine got WAY WAY louder when they loosened up... Like 6+db louder over 2 weeks. Play 25 hz and let them break in
  19. my zvx 12's are sharing a 4^3 box and are getting around 1500 rms each. i can beat on them for hours and they dont even get warm. they would be solid for 2k each imo... and im gonna build a bigger box. they hardly move.
  20. I wonder if there is anything improved on this model other then a new basket
  21. no, you can go up if you want. But of course, EQin'g is about cutting anywhere you can and only boosting very slightly. It's never a good idea to boost a frequency too much. I can tell you this, starting out flat on the EQ, just using the DD-1, your system should already sound better and you will find yourself not wanting to boost the shit out of the frequencies like you used to. No drawing smiley faces with the sliders anymore I leave mine flat and it sounds great but I'm no SQ audio file guy. I was just trying to learn a bit incase I ever did decide to get an EQ with more then 5 bandsEdit : anyone that I've tuned their system with the DD1 bass boost off and flat EQ's and they always questioned me until they heard it. LOL
