As Nate said it is ALL on him. they arent going to give the buyer back his money if it was damaged in shipping, Well there is no proof that it was damaged during shipping, but I do see your point. I always thought paypal protected against damaged goods. so if you sold something and the shipping company damaged it, would you be comfortable with paypal taking the money you were paid? not directed toward you, just saying think about it that way. Yea I get what you mean and no worries man but in my opinion If I didn't insure a package I sent out and the shipping co damaged it then I'm SOL cause I'm responsible for getting it to the buyer safely and should expect to lose the money I was paid for it, be it thru paypal or whatever. They have insurance for areason. the seller neglected to purchase it when the option was available. That means he is taking the full responsibility for the items reaching their destination in pristine condition. They obviously didnt make it. So since he neglected to cover his ass he know needs to cover his buyer. There is no beating around te bush here. I am the judge jury and executioner on this one. Does it suck for him? yes. Does it suck for the seller? again yes. But it is not the buyers fault that the item he purchased was not packaged to withstand the trip or that insurance was not purchased. This is the bottom line. you can try to get USPS to cover it under being damaged in shipping but it is not likely The seller needs to issue a full refund for the items that were damaged OR the buyer sends back all the items and is issued a full refund along with the cost of shipping the woofers back. This needs to be worked out between the buyer and seller. The buyer seems to be doing what is needed but the seller is not exactly cooperating by hanging up on him etc. Make this right. and quickly. 77-AUDIO Posted March 2, 2011 Report Posted March 2, 2011 okay so i just tested them on my home amp, they all work fine... there was no insurance on them. i called the guy i bought them from and he said he would give me what i payed for them minus shipping a paypal fees oh and i just noticed this on a different sub 2 good 2 bad... the seller has filed a claim but he left everything else up to me, so i have to track down where it was messed up and where it wasnt... no thanks just tighten the screw on that one. please send me picks of the damaged speakers. and I am sorry about this and will help you get this resolved or refund you the money for the damaged speakers. If I end up having to refund the money I would like to get the broken subs back in return. thank you and again I'm sorry that this has happened. never had a problem with usps before. hit me up later you have my phone number. (these where taken last night) i tried taking better ones outside today. no such luck. here ya go ive been talking all day with him. what he is proposing is that he was going to sell me 4 subs for 450 and then give me the 5th one for free. what i see it as, is that i bought every single sub for 90 each. but he thinks that i shouldnt have to pay to fix this one. but im "special" enough for him to give me 90 for the sub but i have to spend 20 on shipping to get it to him. he says its partially my fault for not putting insurance on the package and is now saying that im lying and the subs isnt even broke because i didnt put pics up. hes also said that he has been talking to other mods and that they will advise him what to do. i asked him to give me 90 and i would bite my lip and pay the rest to get this thing fixed. he said no. does that seem unfair or am i just crazy? i am getting very pissed off and just want this issue taken care of. the seller is not doing a good job of helping the buyer get what he wants.... wow now this just shows that smd isnt just any forum.
