Well man I looked around and couldn't find anything that showed the process so I figured this would be another one of those trial and error phases for me. So if your watching me learn from my mistakes so you dont make the same ones LoL. I can tell you the tape idea wasn't all bad but it wasn't the best way to go. Im about to post pics of how I did the other side and to me it turned out better than this one did. Real96SS Posted September 24, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 24, 2013 So after I got to my stopping point on the pass side seal job I moved to the driver side and wanted to try something different to get it sealed. So this time I took some Ponte cloth and stretched it across the opening the best I could and stapled the edges down to try and keep it tight. I couldn't get it all in one piece so I put tape on the back side to hold the piece together where they meet at in the middle. Once that was done I started laying the resin down on top of the cloth.Let it dry a little and then started laying the chop mat down on top of that. Currently I am on the second layer and going to do 2 more before doing the back side with 4 layers also. Granted right now they both look basically identical and both are super strong once you do the back side. I just finished sanding the driver side and also putting some kitty hair on the back side for added strength like the pass side. So now the wall is completely sealed.Im going to wait for paint until I decide if I want to keep the color change paint on the wall. I did put kitty hair on the back side for a little added strength. Both sides actually turned out pretty good I think. Being my first time doing this Im hoping it all holds up to the pressure that the system will be putting on it. Again this is my learning experience so I will let you guys know how it works out. I wish i had more space to seal off man because my space was so small that it made it hard to get the cloth even stretched across it.
