roscoe1129
Bullshit bullshit bullshit! Look at the lincoln build in my sig. That wall with 4 xl 15's plays rock music just as well as it does rap, screwed chopped. We play the devil wears prada and that thing keeps up excellent! Build it right and it will perform! MrSkippyJ
with a typical rock track, most of the kick drum should be coming out of the midbass speakers, not the sub woofers. If you have really muddy sounding bass when listening to rock music, fix your midbass and stop trying to make your subs play kick drum music. And none of that even considers how well the music is recorded. That is a VERY difficult part of the music to record well and often times is overlooked. Torres
I always thought it was more the amp then the sub. What does it sound like when you try to play the rock stuff now? the box has more to do with it than either of those
LT.Smoke
Why is it so hard for people to realize that with the right enclosure you can DAMN near make any sub perform the way you want it to ???? triplec19
ok so i guess that this point can someone tell me a DC sub setup(smaller than a 15) that i could use with my AQ2200D that would hit hard and be a lil tighter ****I recognize that my 15 could be used to sound better but i feel that id rather use another sub than the monster ground pounding XL i have now, a different sub just seems like a better tool for the task at hand

IH8PunkRok
the xl is a good sounding woofer but by no means an SQ woofer WOW really...considering a lot of people refer to the XL as DCs SQ woofer. to OP...with the right box and proper power you can make it sound nice, tight, snappy and accurate.
