So if you did an "under construction" theme I should be able to enter? Cause according to Meade my build wasn't finished cause I didn't have a pic showing my amp was hooked up

not "according to meade", according to FACT. The last picture i saw in your build showed an amp just sitting there, not hooked up. The system was not completed or even running. You cant be in SOTM if your system is not done or at least FUNCTIONAL (since most of us are never truly done). Functional is not that much to ask.

That is UNLESS we do an under construction contest.

dont get how it wasnt running but thats cool, guess i went to tnespl finals and won without having amps hooked up lulz.. dunno how vids dont count towards a build log but thats cool then.. guess my build wasnt functional eh

well maybe you should take out the picture of you changing your system to something else then so when me or someone else looks at it, we dont get the impression you arent done yet.

and no, youtube video's do not count. I didnt even look at them. They are good for adding extra content to your build but pics are where its at. I have asked over and over and over again that you guys make it very CLEAR what you have so when i look (or anyone else looks) we know what you have. I looked at your build and what i took from it was YOU WERENT DONE. If you were in fact DONE, maybe you should have made it more clear. A final pic, showing an amp sitting on a board, at the end of your build thread doesnt leave me with that impression of a finished system.

If we do a "under construction" one, then you are even more welcome to submit the project with the new changes happening. As it stands though, we have to come up with some criteria and i dont know if i can make it work. Ill try.

anyway, i WANT YOU in the running! I just want to come out of your thread and know exactly what you have. Thats all

and thats why its being stopped. this isnt a new rule. its been in place for months. We are trying to offer a fair contest every month and allowing people to raffle off the prize is not fair. You get people who wouldnt vote for them doing just that instead just so they can maybe benefit from it.

Why is it no matter what happens or what goes on no one ever is content wtih the way the contest was run? The rules are posted right here on the forum. In this very section no less and if you do not follow them you will be terminated from the contest. Follow the rules and there are no issues.

And it isnt fair. Thats like someone saying if I win, everyone that voted for me gets entered into a drawing for xxx dollars.... thats wrong, its cheating, regardless of what your intentions were, it is an unfair advantage... because you will, regardless of your intent, get alot of votes that you most likely wouldnt have gotten in the first place. To me it doesnt seem like this is about what was or what has happened, its about the rules being the rules, and keeping it that way.

I love the idea of an "under construction" contest. Considering I will have all my equipment to finish in the next couple weeks.

I already have my front stage build finished, would that exclude me from the running? The remaining build is my substage and sealing off the cab from trunk. I think the remaining fabrication won't be happening until the spring time as the weather is about to get bad with winter in Indiana, would I still be able to be in the running even though fabrication won't be under-way? Im just curious, so as to not violate any rules in the running if it does happen.
