I was looking over noise laws in Ohio wen I came across this.

No person shall play any radio, music player or audio system in a motor vehicle at such volume as to disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of other persons or at a volume which is plainly audible to persons other than the occupants of said vehicle. (Ord. No. 2487-A-89. Passed 6-18-90, eff. 6-27-90)

(a) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon a first offense, shall be fined seventy-five dollars ($75.00), which fine shall not be suspended, waived or otherwise reduced below that amount. In addition, the equipment or device used in the commission of a violation of Section 683.01 or 683.02 is hereby declared to be contraband and shall be seized and disposed of in accordance with RC 2933.43.

Chicago and some suburbs will impound also. Built a box for 4 L7's a few years back for a guy and he got impouned like 5-6 times.

This is exactly why i was picky on where i bought my house hehe. there is no noise ordinance in postfalls idaho! no worries for me at all i roll by the cop station bumpin all the time since it on my way to walmart lol! and i see cops on a daily basis that never pull me over =] they look at me but that's because of the color of my car hehe.

well they dont care much for loud noise but if you do anything else they will pull you over for it such as no front license plate 100 bucs, crack in windshield obstructing view of road 100 bucs plus 15 days to comply with the law and get it fixed, any lights out on the vehicle 100 bucs. its like a rule of thumb here its like a flat rate fee for getting pulled over lol.
