They got very loud and low with only 1500w clamped each. 30-33hz would be a good tuning with 15in2 of port per 1ft3.

should really go off of cone area rather than rule of thumb. :shrug:

yea they are rays, d1.4 special spider pack, he has 2 left a buddy of mine out here bought the other 2

o i am about to run an sd8k to 2 15 xls we'll see how that works out... they took 5k no problem, and wanted more so i got them more.

Huh? I am not suggesting this by rule of thumb. I have alot of recent experience with XLs between my 6 15s, 4 18s in a mini van(one of these is the sub in question), and 3 18s in an Expedition.

Based on all 3 builds I am recommending a port area of 15in2 per 1ft of NET airspace and a tuning of 30-33hz.
