I can see both sides but, if you have the option to pay it than it's like insurance. If you didn't insure your car and you total it, you're out of a car. Not that I agree with the rule, just saying. I would take the $75 fee over property tax, but the $75 fee in addition to the property tax seems as though the tax payer's dollar is being used more to put money in that mayors pocket than to actually provide a fire service. They stand their ass in the middle of an intersection with a bucket and people drop money in. They seem to stay funded. Although its 75 bucks. I sure as fuck would be paying htat if it was up to me.
