CJ18
I think your best bet would be the m2 Xls on the 7.5s. I am going to go to 4 3.5ks and run my charge back up to 16.8v in the fall.
AA98hoe
4300 watts a xl.... I'm not so sure... I have extensive knowledge on the old xl... I did things to them that rusty has never seen.. burnt through formers, dimpled them. Snapped coils etc and he redesigned them to make them better...the m2s are a lot stronger an a lot better kooling that was a major issue I had was kooling.but I also found the limitations of the old xl... I think the extra motor force of the 5 is what I need.... who knows though.. after corona jeff puts his ab 1100s on his ill know a lil more Quote TEAM DC AUDIO VEHICLE:98 chevy tahoe 2wd 3-4 drop HEADUNIT:alpine 9886 PREAMP:arcaudio FRONT STAGE:4-6 1/2s selinium,DD component set and 4-selinium tweeters in each door KICKPANELS:jl audio 5 1/4 REAR DOORS: dd components 6 1/2s HIGHS AMPS:zapco 750.2 on front doors, zapco an another 750.2 on kicks and rear doors SUBS:4-ascendant audio 18s with 5 spiders in a custom box built by KINGSUV SUB AMP: 2-dc7.5s ALTERNATORS: 3-mechmans 1- 425comp, 1-smd spec350, 1-270 with adj voltage harness on custom dc bracket WIRE:10-runs 0g front to back BATTERIES:6-d1400s TL results:157.1 at 38hz and 156.8 at headrest score @37hz. CJ18
Jeff had the 1100.1s on the m1 Xls and once he found a spider pack that worked for him he never had any issues with breaking subs. I know he could get them stinky but that should be solved with the cooling in te m2s.

I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

corona_jeff
I would be less concerned on power and figure out why subs are breaking. I have yet to blow a sub from too much power. I would look into a possable loading issue.
