Failed on both counts. While some of what you are saying may or may not be true, the way you try to get that point across is terrible. There are so many varying variables in setting up an audio system it is near impossible to account for them all. The DD-1 is meant as a tool, and I don't know any installer with simply ONE tool in their toolbox, there are many to tweak and tune. That guy is a fucking tard. The reason we use 40hz and 1000hz is because we are testing the amp (or deck) while referencing the source (the track). It has NOTHING to do with burping @ 40hz at all. Then make the user go and check each and every individual frequency to see if it clips. Or make a more expensive portable oscilloscope.
