Its all an excuse and scare tactic to get conservative, news watching, buy everything the government says people to sway in what the few people in power want them to believe.

Hey now, I'm a conservative. The God-fearing, flag-waving, gun-toting kind. What we're talking about here are Liberal Democrats, which - by their actions these days - liberal is something they're not. They're more like the "New Socialist Party." The conservative republicans in office are the people outraged by the phrase "gun control," and are the ones that have a problem with a more in-depth background check for just buying one. The only thing the conservatives have mentioned, THAT I'VE HEARD, has been a more in-depth background check for a history of violence or mental health issues and behavior for concealed carry permits.

You're more than welcome to correct me if I'm wrong. I mean, I don't watch the news, I just read on the internet and catch little bits here and there from the other people in the house that do watch the news. I can't stand the news. It's all bad these days. And they say with a shining smile on their face.

Last I checked my AR was not evil. It has been in my room in the corner near my bed since I have had it and NOT ONCE has it decided to grab one of my loaded mags and put it in the magwell and start shooting at me or people anywhere.

An ar15 is a 223 no matter how ya look at it. Same as its bolt action counterpart just looks different and operates differently but regardless they dont fire unless something operates the trigger...

I mean how in the world do all the people who go into sporting goods stores avoid the shower of lead that these EVIL ar15's release on their own... Simple because with out someone operating it a rifle is just a metal object or combination of whatever materials its comprised of same with pistols

1. Can you explain why that particular weapon is necessary for home defense?

2. Assuming you do not own that weapon, is home defense impossible?

3. Before the creation of that weapon, was home defense not possible?

Again, refutation is nice, but if you just want to quote things with no relevance to the issue, then go ahead

It isn't just home defense. Protecting ourselfs from a tyrannical governed is a constitutional right. I am not saying we have one, just saying it is a right. Can't do that with handguns and shotguns. Unfortunately we can't get assault rifles, so we use semiautomatic rifles instead. And yes, sometimes we dress them up to look very scary, that's the point

I personally think that the attacks on the appearance of weapons is absolutely retarded

A modification to a weapon that does not affect the overall functionality shouldn't even be considered in this law

For example

They make a lot of big, bad looking "Assault weapons" chambered in .22lr, and these would be made illegal due to this ban

This, to me, is stupid

Cosmetics shouldn't effect anything

So now the ban is stupid??? Just cuz of this? Everything on that ban is damn near cosmetics.

Well guess he proved it. I should lose my ruger 10/22 cuz it fits under this wonderful ban of his. But he thinks it's stupid that this gun isn't. Wow

You flip flop more than a fish out of water you should probably stick to one side. like i said before you are a gun control advocates wet dream. A fudd. Im a gun owner but i think gun control is ok because i dont have any guns that would be banned anyways.

kind of like how the Canadians went.... What all can they have now, certain shotguns and single action rifles? nothing semi-auto I know that.

Say it isnt so... Thats an evil rifle N8 how could it possibly save lives... Good job for that kid defending his sibling and to the family on HOW to use the weapons in the home in case of an emergency like that one
