Kyblack76 Posted June 24, 2013 Author Report Posted June 24, 2013 Don't you just love glassing? It makes a vehicle and house smell 10 times better haha. Looking good man. Great progress! Thanks man.. I just wish i was better at it.. But, im learning REALLY fast... Coming along nicely man. A little more glassing and you will will learn to hate it LOL Love/Hate relationship. Love the results/ Hate doing it. Just don't ever forget to add the mekp like my dumb ass did. Im frustrated with it already... its my own short comings though..... MEH... oh well.. It all cant be fun... Oh, a little word of advice Kyle. It may be the pussy way out(I do it every time I glass, and don't mind if it's girly) but I always wear long sleeves when I'm applying fiberglass and resin. Before I put the long sleeve shirt on, I use Gold Bond cooling menthol baby powder(green container) heavily on my arms, since I'll usually be sweating and don't want it to wear off. I will also coat my neck heavily and even my ankles, even if I'm wearing long jeans. Fiberglass fibers are A BITTTTTTTCH and I hate being itchy for 2 days, so this helps a ton. I agree with someone above that said the smell of resin is heavenly. I realize you're wearing a mask during the application process, but it has that beautiful smell as it dries and it will linger for quite some time. I love the smell of Bondo and automotive paint in a garage as well. The first time i did it, i was in shorts, no shoes, and a tank top...... Needless to say, the second time i did have a shirt and genes, .....gloves both times... Well i made up a mix, and added a few sheets, and a buddy came over, and well you know how that goes...... Yep.. wasted.... Fucker came out like a frozen ice pop you made as a kid.... Well, i ordered some all thread to think about my supports. Its beast. Came on site while i was at lunch... Got back to my desk, and it was laying there.. Good shit. While i was gone, i snagged some TEE NUTS. I just hope they are the right size... im looking (just got home) now...... Its hot as balls out, and with that.. windy. Basically a shitty day.... Well see if i can get some layers on... SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
