RooTxBeeR
I have already done it once for the first time, but I used a flathead and did a little damage to the top baffle. Is there trick some of you do to make it easier to remove? big dee
I grab the surround and pick it up. It depends on the sub. I'm sure some subs would come apart lifting them this way . Obsidian gas a tall rubber like surround so they are tough enough to lift then that way

Kyblack76
That's a great question. Say, In a wall???? Maybe why some make the outter most baffle removable?? Edit- and with 80lb plus drivers, you think man handle, until you pop your butthole out moving them around. Legit ? For sure. sprkn_ranger
I flush mounted my last build and it was a pain to get my DC level 2 out so I don't think I'm going to flush mount any more...unless I use a removable top baffle to flush it with, which I don't think in going to. It doesn't make it look that much better to flush mount anyway in my opinion. RooTxBeeR
Lol, I tried picking out up by the surround, not enough to get a good enough grip on. I would have flipped the box, but had no Allen keys where I was at and was in somewhat of a hurry. I try that next time though. ProMaxx316
Just a thought but before mounting the sub put a stong string or something behind the gasket so when its time to pull sub out just pull sting. Kind of like the string/strap behind batteries in remotes. If it's worth building, it's worth over building.
Raptorman
Put a rag under where you pry up on the sub, to prevent damage to the baffle. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. OBI
If you still have the gaskets on use those. Just lift up on the gasket to till you can put something underneath then use finger tips for the rest. In a wall the subs is pretty much going to remove itself after a little prying.
