ROLEXrifleman Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 Just curious what wattage everyone is running to their mids and highs. And by mids and highs I mean 6.5" and under. I was running an RF 1000.4AD to a pair of 4" and 5.25" Boston Pro components and found 250 watts to each a tad much. Then I went back and saw some people running about a dozen speakers off the sam eamp and thought, OK... that was over kill. So just curious, what's your front stage look like and whats it getting power wise. I swapped out the Rf and put in an Old School SS Rubicon 404 ([email protected]) and it sounds great. SnowDrifter Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 I'm running 150+ to each of mine. Not sure exactly how much, my amp is rated at 12.5v and I'm running 16v lol. It's a bit on the high side for them though. I have to be careful how loud I turn it up on some songs. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Trey_Dog650 Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 When I had my system it was 100 watts at 4 ohm and was more than enough for my components. Probably getting a little less power than that but I was still more than happy 13 Kia Forte Build! 07 Hyundai Accent Build ***Super Seller*** N8ball2013 And then he gets to say ok all you guys were right. im sorry for being a dummy poo poo head.

alaskanzx5 Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 I've got a punch pro 6.5 mid and tweet in each door off a t400.4. Tweets are wired at 8 ohms the mids are at 4 ohms. gives an over head for future upgrades. Can add 2 more mids and tweets and just about still be giving them all the same power a they get now. So I could basically double my cone area on my front sound stage with out needing a different amp. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

Sergeant_Skyrim Posted June 22, 2013 Report Posted June 22, 2013 Running 4 6.5s on about 600 total, so ~150 a piece, and then 4 Tweets on the 3rd channel with about 175 total so ~45 a piece with the 4th channel unused. Still need to do more tuning and figure out final tweeter placement but I'm liking how loud they all get so far. Build in progress
