LsChevy Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Im trying to put together a new system for my car. Im aiming for about 7k watts what electrical needed for that? i already have a high output alt,i bought it from mechman last year so i cant remember if its a 260 or 270 amp

XS power used to have a battery chart that would show you the batterys needed per wattage My build aka Snow White whats wrong with fat chicks? they are like mopeds, as long as your friends dont see you riding it, they are a blast! hahah I am dumb as a stump. I think he had 9k and dropped .1volts full tilt. Not saying you should have 21 batteries... But I am saying if you can't supply with enough alternator amps then you need to supplement with (more batteries) then your system should have. It may be a good battery but it's not magic. As others have said: couple group 31s. Don't skimp on wire or fuses and you should be good to go. TeamHT Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 It powers a 5,000 watt system. The 7,500 is on the left side of the chart which is if the battery is a secondary, meaning it is assuming you have a decent starting battery and alternator. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
