Box tuned to 34hz, peaks 38?

Box is fine - I thought maybe purple was just drunk posting.

Can't measure impedance with a DMM was my concern.

AMI - I have to say I cannot agree with your statement. If he actually has 3500 watts, he could rip that SP4 to shreds even with a tuning of 34-35 Hz if he is playing much below that, or if his tuning is a little higher than he thinks it is. Better have a subsonic filter set correctly with that much power.

Having first hand experience with an SP4 and a 3500 watt crescendo, I will honestly say you are wrong, we could play down to 17 hz full fucking tilt and not hurt that sub :)

Hell yeah, skull smashing loud at sub 20hz

I don't understand the need to bash OP or why you guys are going off about some pissing contest "Oh I can do this and not kill it, no you can't give it to me" blah blah blah.

Easy solution: Play the sub at a lower volume and watch the cone. See what frequency it begins to roll off around in your vehicle and slowly move your way up to full tilt. Not that hard to see when the cone is losing control without having it cranked all the way up. Example: If I turn my headunit volume down from 44 where it's set at to say 30, and then play a 20hz tone where I know the sub can't handle then I can see it's moving a whole lot more than 30hz at the same volume
