Those griffin cases look like knockoff lifeproof cases. Anyway the only ottorbox line I would get is the defender because the rubber is on the inside and it has plastic on the outside so it won't stick in your pocket and make you pull out your entire pocket when you grab the phone. Here is the link for your line: http://www.otterbox.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-2-Commuter-Series-Case/sam4-galaxy-note-2,default,pd.html?dwvar_sam4-galaxy-note-2_color=20&start=1&cgid=samsung-galaxy-note-2-cases

I have never used this line so I can't speak for how tough it is but I have seen a few of my co-workers with this line and it has done just fine for drops from the waist onto concrete. http://www.shopandroid.com/seidio-active-case-with-kickstand/4A225A12987.htm

edit: your note 2 is actually pretty good for drop protection compared to the s3 and even s4. Look up some videos on youtube. The only thing that gets messed up is the plastic battery cover with scratches and the plastic outer edge where it gets nicked if it is dropped on its side. Its a surprise because of how big and heavy the phone is but impact protection is actually pretty good on the phone.
