n8ball2013
I'm sure most of you don't remember but when I bought my truck I ended up throwing a tranny rebuidl at it. Not once but twice. The first time it leaked and got tranny fluid all over the place. I'm going to por15 my frame in the spring but I just looked and there are still traces of tranny fluid on the frame. I have no idea how the hell to get it off short of a torch and burning it off. Obviously that's not high on my list of shit Id like to try. Anyone ever had an experience like this? I dont think the por15 will stick to the spots that has fluid residue on it still. Broke_Audio_Addict
Carb cleaner will take it off no problem. And then I would use some simple green on it to make sure there is no residue left. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. 95legwagon
i use either a citrus degreaser OR brake cleaner (non chlorinated) i use the citrus degreaser at work all the time for insurance jobs....its what they require to get all the oils off the bottom of a car that either blew the engine or got into an accident and put a hole into a pan of some sort whether it be the oil pan or tranny pan..... works like a charm...... the stuff i use is in an aerosol can and the can is tall white with blue..... i get it from napa. i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. CHEVY4X4BLAZER
I've used Brake Cleen to get rid of oil/residue. It even helps with oil spots In the driveway.
Toady
What i usually use at work for situations like this is a strong carb cleaner like (Chemtool B12) or i also like to use Xylol and Brake Kleen. Just becareful when using those chemicals is because they will eat through plastic and rubber like nothing.i get a brush and wipe it back and forth with a Xylol mixture, then spray it with brakekleen. It gets it nice and dry
Keith77
do you have access to a air compressor? What we do at the shop is spray with carb clean or brake cleaner then blow it of with a air gun. Depending on how big of the mess is we soak with a degreaser at 100% concentrate then pressure wash. What ever is left we do the brake cleaner or carb cleaner and air gun. Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
RooTxBeeR
Power washer wouldn't be able to take that off? Awhitewookie
No, just a power washer won't. Even though tranny fluid is pretty much just detergent, it is still some nasty shit. I had a puddle on my driveway after doing a clutch and it took me 6 washes of muriatic acid and a power washer to remove it MY BUILD 1998 Ford Explorer 2dr sport 1/0 Big 3 1/0 everything Alpine cda-9884 Crescendo CZ components (2) Crescendo bc2000's (2) Jolt 150ah (2) Yellow top optimas (1) Juicebox black cherry addition (1) Mechman 270 avbm miss my bc5500 and (4) 15's You know why people are ass holes online but not in person? I know with concrete though, that shit is porous so oils and fluids are the worst to get out of.
