fullburn420
So I live in good ol South Dakota where it gets nice and cold in the winter. While its not too terribly cold here now (30 degrees) i want to know if i am damaging my woofer by playing it. I dont just hop in and go full tilt. Usually i let my car warm up then jump in and give it about half volume for 15-20 mins then i turn it up to 3/4 volume for about the same time after that i go full tilt. I was wondering if this is bad for my woofer or should i just pull it for the winter...even though its kinda late in the winter for that lol. 2000 Ford Explorer Mid/Highs Pioneer Headunit Pioneer fh-x700bt Amp Earthquake Mini D2500 Sub Rockford T2D415 0/1 Wiring 5%Tint All Around
DubNDodge
To each is their own. Some go ham right after they let the car warm up, some go ham as soon as the car turns over. I don't go full tilt in the winter. Just for the fact that I don't want any thing to become broken. Everything is more brittle in the winter at colder temps, so interpret that as you want. ChevyBoy95
you should be fine at 30 degrees, but like 20 on down i would personally ease into it. Tarball
No woofer issues but fully tilt with the windows up and mid 20s was when i cracked my windshield. As mentioned earlier - everything is more brittle as the temp goes down.
