ParDeus
Ok, I'm ALMOST an idiot. I read the load at the amp with my garbage dmm, the number made sense. My meter reads different at different times, lol. Any ways, everything was wired correctly, but the bolts that hold the terminal/tinsels together were loose on 1 coil, hence only one speaker was playing, at 4ohms none the less. All is well, and these subs are straight fucking beasts. I'm moving some serious air now, lol. I'll get some flow data up this week, sorry about the delay. CleanSierra
Something simple, awesome. Glad to hear you got it fixed and those subs look like straight sex so it's good to hear they perform. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Krakin
Cool Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. MACnonsence6
shnazy I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.
ParDeus
Sorry about the delay, race season started, doesn't leave much spare time. So, I happened to have a spark while doing some work on a bellmouth runner for a sprint car. Fuel standoff in these are crazy, but easily viewed. The fuel goes in, then will come back out a foot above the entry... Same as what I saw doing wet flows on a ported box. I took my aeroport test box, did before and afters port DB and cabin DB. After trying like hell to find a way to make a flare as thick as I needed, I ended up using an old plastic mold, whittled by hand. My resulting terminus was not symmetrical at all, smaller on the sides, and flared on top and bottom. Again, the tuning stayed within 1.3hz, but the port Db was +1.9db, and the cabin was +1.7db. However, it sounded SO much better. I didn't notice the port noise, until it was gone. Due to this test box sitting in the shop, some motor oil leaked on the floor and found it's way to both boxes. Fire time. I'll build some new ones shortly, as well as new ports. They looked so God-awful, they will be used strictly to beat lazy coworkers. I ordered my own TL which was DOA, and them an SPL Lab that seemed a little happy on numbers. They are both gone, currently looking for another TL. PS- I also tried my new super duper box coating, and damn! Takes a few ounces to do a whole box, and is stronger than resin. I'll try to get some to a real pro (bbeljefe?) to try out. I also start trying to get pictures, but it might be tough, as at my shop it is a big no-no to take pictures.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room. I missed Alan. RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.
