deathcards
Stop playing shitty clipped music I assume too often that people are aware that downloaded music from the wrong source could be clipped to holly hell... but could very well be the case in this situation- I did get it all off of youtube... you think that's it? most likely If 3500 watts is too much per sub how is it that Meade and many other put twise the rated power to theirs and get away with it? I am new to this... But I am still sticking with clip issue. probably is my music They put a lot of time into the design of the box enclosure space and tuning to help keep the cone under control. Also they have clean power what track is 5 -15db -10db or -5db i recommend 10 or 5 Quote skar sk2500.1 0 gauge power and ground kunukonceptz alpine HUvxi65 components on BA gt-275new build log -> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150642-project-d-kon-deathcards-build-log/#entry2148821 2 x-15 sundowns singer alt, odyssey bat, and maxwell ultra caps

SnowDrifter
Track 5 is -10db right? You'll clip on most bassy songs with that Try track 3 - 40hz -5db 1 Quote ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Swordlordboy1234
Most normal music it's okay to tune with -10 or find someone with a -7.5 track. Decaf music needs a -5db track. Also there is a video on youtube done by Steve showing how to set up your system off Bluetooth, aux, USB, and dc using his dd1 1 Quote My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail.... Joshua Dumas
I'd say it's the quality of the music you're getting from YouTube. From my experience no youtube music is that clean.
MrSkippyJ
youtube music bass heavy music using -10db and overpowering all three of those are likely playing a part. gckless
It's almost definitely the YouTube music. YT compresses and does weird things when you upload. Buy some off itunes or buy a CD of the same music you normally listen to off YT, and play at the same volume, see if they get stinky. Quote "Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.
