Wood
If budget isn't a big deal, go to TRS and get a Projector retrofit kit for sure... They din't even sell nothing above 6k because anything above is useless! Its a lot of info you would need to study before retrofitting, but you'll DEFINITELY reap the benefits of it... I bought my kit this past week and it should be here on monday... I'll update my thread when I do the retrofit... thats if you're interested in seeing how its done 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346
corey0928
The retrofit source all the way. Had some questions after I got my new headlight housings in and they have top notch customer service
WastedTalent
TRS. 6k. 35W. I can get a picture up against a wall or whatnot so you see the actual output later tonight if you want. It's not blue. It's white. Not pure white, that's 4300. But... nowhere near blue. Just a blue...hue. And barely. Sheena = pedobear
kirill007
Budget doesn't matter, I just want brighter than factory without too much blue, so probably 5k. For fogs, i can't decide between yellow and 5k. Also, I have the smoked covers on all the lights, so wondering how much each intensity would be affected. Might do a 5k setup with a yellow lens for fogs. Again, just unsure how certain combinations would work. The retrofitsource.com is very good place to buy it, you need projector to use the extra light properly. 5k on the headlights will look white and still give you a lot of light. Don't use yellow covers, that only blocks light and doesn't work as good as starting out with "yellow" light. 3K fogs all the way if you ever use them, if you never use them I don't see the point in buying HID's for them. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
Soccerballzs
The higher the kelvin rating the more glare fogs will produce. Use 3000 k for foogs and anything from 4500 to 6000 k on others. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/garage/vehicle/2438-jeep-commander/I Pioneer P99RSAmpere 38002-Ampere 125/44-6.5 inch Hertz HSK XL Mids4-8 inch JL Audio ZR Midwoofer 2-5.25 Satori Mids2-Morel Tweeters, 2 Hertz Milles 3 inch on A pillars2-Hertz Silk tweeters DC Audio Level 5/12 Skyhigh Wire Mechman 320 XS Power D3100MO Funniest Thread of the Year 2013: http://www.stevemead...dy-being-a-pos/

OrionStang
Been looking at the site all morning. Gonna have to give them a call to ensure I get the right items for a full retrofit. Going 5k bi-xenons and 3k fogs. Should be under $1k. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
