Maybe SOTM could be changed to where the voting only starts once there's like 40 or so nominees. That way, the contests will slow down when people are building and not as many can enter, and then they'll pick back up once people are able to enter.

One of the things I love about SOTM is seeing how people compare my system to everyone else's. It's also fun seeing the close races in the last couple days!

Honestly, maybe you might get better results if it was more spread out, lol despite being names system of the month, maybe every other month would give more time for more people to complete their systems???

Fucking love Alan you goddamned fucking super nerd lol

When Alan uses big words I don't understand

It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.

Everytime I see a guy driving a mini cooper I cant help but think he loves cock & (2/29/16)-My wife just bitched at me about throwing out things we don't really use. My response of well we don't really use your vagina so should we throw that out was evidently not the right response. I had to leave the room.

I missed Alan.

RIP 5/29/15 - I love you son.

that or make it a themed month. Like <1500w or 5000w+

those were always a lot of fun.

Themed months would be cool but might limit the already low entries.

I do believe that the rule about re entering the same car even if its got a completely different build with different equipment should be revised or have some kind of alteration allowing repeat entries as long as (95%) is changed from the last vote. Pulled the % out because that's what the requirement is currently for completed builds.

More votes!

And also, show Steve we still want this around.

I would like to say that until last month. I thought a small system wouldn't be able to go against the big boys. My build has no flex no real power, compared to the other builds,it also had no fancy things in it. Yet after a real fun run with Mr Dodge I got that really cool badge of honor. Like Steve said on his FB page showing the winning builds. It isn't always how big the system is. As long as it is clean and put together decently even small builds can win. I would like to think it is also due to attitude and respect you show or have earned. I will say to even if you get just one vote or several. Don't give up and keep trying and most importantly have fun with it and don't belly ache or be a drama queen. As that hurts other would be entrants from jumping in. So just enjoy and have fun with this and bring in more folks into the hobby. Hope I'm not overstepping my place with this post. Steve don't lose faith sir as to some of us just being reconized and having that badged is so cool and means allot still.

I would like to say it isn't about bragging that I've or you have a SOTM badge. It should be about the fact it was earned because your system was liked enough that month to be noticed. I do this because I still love the base purpose of building and learning from those who are better than I. Winning last month actually gave me a little bit more confidence in my work. As that some people actually liked it enough to vote on it. With that said it by no means puts any of the other builds down or under me. It means it was noticed and liked more that time over other times. Every build that comes in here to be voted on is awesome and really nice. Just like this month many beautiful builds. So enjoy and more votes lets not let this die guys.

That ram is charging again as I remember last month. My butt was nervouse lol

The accord will make a come back. I just wanted to let grant feel confident. :peepwall:

Real shit tho, I agree 100%. The fact that I've even gotten votes on something that I made... Is just humbling. It also motivates me to try and make nicer cleaner and louder builds too.

I think SOTM is one of the more important things about this forum. When a noob comes here talking about their swap shop Hifonics stuff being loud, and using a gain knob as a volume knob with voltage dropping into the 10's.... And a year or two later, SMD spits out a clean and loud trunk build that does 45's on music, holds 13v, and is set up properly and has gotten approval (votes) from other members on the forum?...To me that's amazing.

That is true because that was me. And SOTM was a goal I wanted to reach that motivated me to keep learning from the guys on here, and I will continue to learn all I can and enjoy this hobby as much as possible in the meantime. Thank you all for the votes and let's keep this thing alive. It motivated me, I'm sure I'm not the only one. It should be our duty to help as many people get into audio as possible to grow the community and I believe this along with many other things about this forum sets us apart and helps not only the current members grow and make friends.. But it helps new guys learn and get into audio.
