ChevyBoy95
When you did this, you were setting at max volume right? Do this: do the same test again, but do it at half volume, so that electrical supply isn't a factor. Bet you get different results probably box rise.He said it was unloaded. Impedance varies even while subs are not loaded, so it could still be an issue even if you take what the box does to impedance out of the equation. what i mean, there is nothing wired to the output of the amp except the oscope.... I was NOT trying to come off as a ass hat, i was just saying, in my head, it doesnt make sense, that this freq would distort BEFORE that one. Unless other shit is affecting the actuall output..... JEFFYBOI
Is it possible at lower frequencies you are seeing less resistance which is a increase in power causing it to clip? I bow out before shit storm. Again, my apologies. EDIT: On RF's birth sheets they make full power at higher hz, like200'ish and the curve keeps climbing until then, maybe gets added to the equation some how with specific variables but again maybe means nothing, just thinking out loud at this point. =) 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. JEFFYBOI
My subs see the least amount of resistance and get the most power around the 50 hz range ( also where I get most voltage drop ) Im actually running some tests soon to confirm the power and independence at each frequency.
