What would you guys say is the rough number of batteries "minimum" to be considered a battery bank?

Minimum of 12. Anything other than that, you're clearly not serious about voltage ;)

In all seriousness though, anything 2 and up in an alternate(not under hood) location.

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

That doesn't even make sense...

I have a savings account...but only $10 in it. Is it a savings account yet? How much money until my savings account is a savings account.

The second you start depositing into it, so to answer your question 1. The second you have a battery in the bank you have a battery bank.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

Yeah, ... but that $10.00 started with a penny, so you have 1,000 pennies in your "bank", which would be 1,000 BATTs in this theoretical BATT Bank, ... in which CleanSierra would not be able to rip on you in particular for not caring about voltage.

Interesting topic. I understand the logic of 1 battery = savings account like a bank.

However, I would be disappointed if looking at someone's kick ass build in person and having them tell me they have a battery bank in back, then they show me the back and I see 1 battery, I would feel cheated. Maybe it's all just about perception though...not sure. Again, interesting topic.

EDIT: If you did have 1 battery in back you would just say "I have a battery in back" and not "I have a battery bank in back". IDK, maybe I am thinking more on this than need be.

Also, if 1 battery is a bank then the guy with 30 batteries is just a bank as well.....interesting...the most simple topic I have seen posted in a while, and useless as well (no offence) and yet I still can't wrap my tiny little brain around the concept, LOL.

I've always thought of it being 2 or more "Dedicated" batteries in the rear of the vehicle near the amplifiers ...

Which was 3 in the rear (bed) and 2 under the hood of my Chevy Truck ...

My 49 Ford project will have 4 batteries under the car (false floor from the trunk area) and nothing under the hood.
