Ahmed Johnson
Definitely series... if the wire fried between HU and amp 1, none of the other amps would recieve power thus making it series It depends on where you break off at... It is still parallel.. This is a series, no matter where it breaks, there is just a source in between each wire... Man, I hope some of you dudes got real jobs working with electrical or electronics. It would really be sad to find out you are a cashier somewhere with the shit you know. No disrespect to cashiers either. Krakin
Okay, one of us may be picturing it wrong. This is what I understood with the HU on the left amps on right. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. White Lightning
I've seen people install a relay at the headunit, install switches or fuses, and run multiple remote wires to turn on an turn off individual amplifiers. I've never seen a need for it, but it has been done. In some of the old car audio competition days ... you had to fuse each wire /amplifier installed in the vehicle seperately at the driver's reach. Usually a fuse pannel at the bottom of the dash. I've seen up to 5 fuses below the headunit going to individual amplifiers. For me the problem was relays made "clicking" noises at turn or turn off, which would count off points for "Quiet turn on" and quiet turn off" scores. I'm also thinking some competitors done this without relays and took their chances with only the fuses ... islandpride684
How can you parallel a circuit with no ground wire ??Exactly! Lol...I agree with wood, components connected in series are connected along a single path so the current flows through all of the components Build Log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186921-blk9te-07-yukon-slo-mo-build/page-3?hl=%2Bblk9te#entry2881410
