reviews and thoughts on a new vehicle

Towing nothing big cuz I can't with truck or equipment currently but I'd like to be able to get a car trailer or a dump trailer. Or borrow one if needed.

most I've towed is but 2 tons which maxed my utility trailer by half ton. Lol and no trailer brakes. Tons of fun. Only a few miles tho.

Add Buick Rainer into your list. Same as a Trailblazer just slightly different. Came with AWD systems, normally fully loaded aswell, and a lot cheaper.

Not sure what you have against ford, but I'll throw in my personal experience with my truck so far.

06 F150, crew cab FX4 fully loaded, 5.4 3v. 9200lbs rated towing capacity.

Bought it for $12k, normally you'd find one around $15k at a car lot. Expect to pay $13,500 or so.

It has 133k miles on it. Around town I am averaging 14mpg city with fairly aggressive driving, and I can peek 20 on the highway. I'm running 305/55/r20's, slightly bigger than factory. It's not a racetruck, but its not dog slow. It moves better than the 96 Silverado that I had with a 350.

Maintence on these can be problematic if left untouched. Spark plugs can be a bitch to change. Intake gaskets have issues some of the time around 160k miles. They are VVT motors, dirty oil can give you a LOT of issues.

So far I've towed a Lightning F150, a 35ft scissor lift, and 2 500ft spools of 500mcm solid copper wire. All on tandem axle car trailers. Around 6,000-7,000lb max each. The truck did not have any issues what so ever controlling the loads. Getting them up to speed took a little while, I will admit. I ran with the 6.2 CNG powered F350 work truck we have just fine though pulling the lift, and also pulling the wire. Stopping them did get a bit silly due to not having a trailer brake controller added onto the truck. Towing with it isn't near as nice as it was with my PowerStroke, but I really like the way it pulls a load.

Overall, I would recommend the truck 10/10 times to anyone wanting to buy one like it.

ford I've just heard a lot of the stories from people that had them. Blown head gaskets, shot trans, exhaust problems are what I usually hear. But I can look at them I suppose. I'm in an all dodge vehicle family and only other thing we've had is a lumina and before me my mom had a blazer. Just had good luck with dodges I suppose. I'll add the Ranier to the list too. I've got about 2 months

Are you sure those problems weren't for the F250 6.0 Powerstroke? Those engines were infamous for those exact reasons.

f150 from all the ones I remember. We did have an escort that we just couldn't kill tho. We beat it to death And it kept running. Only good experience I've had with ford. My grandma had a taurus and it wasn't even old and starter went out and then fuel pump And battery.

Not gonna lie I was hesitant buying my 04 explorer cuz it's Ford. But I have grown to love the thing. Had it almost 2 years put almost 30xxx miles. Went from 80xxx to about 110k now. No issues whatsoever shitty mileage tho. Average about 14. But I have the 4.6 v8. Only towed a uhaul trailer but no issues there.

Only oil change and I did do an engine service only cuz I didn't know how well the previous owner cared for it

Mother fuckers are funny.

Every vehicle has issues. Dodge sucks fucking balls on gas mileage. Chevy breaks more than Ford, but are easier to fix and work on. Nissans are heavy and slow.

I had a Tundra single cab as a work truck, and drove the fuck out of it. Pretty much bullet proof. Quickest revving motor of the bunch.

1960-1985 cadillacs. GM big blocks, RWD and you can get laid with it, and enough room for at least 3 hookers in the trunk along with a few subs. easy to work on and you can get some decent mpg off them if you remove the emissions shit from the 70's

He said truck or suv.

Also Big block and decent mpg?

yeah right.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
