sideshow_kustom Posted March 18, 2015 Report Share Posted March 18, 2015 I got tired of going to car show's and sitting around waiting for the show to be over with no JAM'S! SO I had a bunch of old Military Ammo Can's sitting around and I thought HELL with it I'm going to make a portable Boom box out of one! That's when the build started! Where most of my other builds start right on my kitchen table! Like all others masking tape, Sharpie, and cardboard can be a builders best friend! Got the holes cut in it so I machined some Nylon to bolt the speaker to and the grill. BUT I needed some one off bolts for this build!!! What else to use then 223 bullets! Time to mount em up! Figured If I'm going all custom I'll just build my own amp! 50X2 Watts! Done a test hit powering the amp up with an 18 Volt Dewalt Battery, sounded ok! Need a port in it! So I made a Proto Type Thought I would like the color to be Yellow & OD Green! BUT I didn't like the color at all!!!! PORT COLOR FAIL!!! LOL Scraped it and made another one OD Green & Black! Much Better! Time to test some paint! Liked the sound but just needed a better way to control the Bass & Treble so I added a Tone board and a step down regulator! Now that I got it sounding SUPER KICK ASS!!!! Time to light it up!!! I'm far from done with this build! Waiting on parts now! I will keep it updated as I move along on it!
