Question of the day: What was the first subwoofer that you heard that made you fall in love with BASS?

Had a pair of the 10's.

They sucked.

I had a single 12. I was 16, it was my first sub. They were AWESOME lol.

Some guy in my neighborhood had 4 18 in RF subs in a suburban. This was back in '93. I knew that RF was my future when I heard that system. One of the loudest systems I've ever heard to this day.

I used to have one of those! Other than a small tear in the surround, it did pretty good sealed

My dad bought an expedition that came with 3 crossfire and 1 visonik 10" subs on a crossfire 200.2 back in ~2003

And some Sony xplod subs my cousin had in his s10

My buddy got a nakamichi 10" in a ported box he made which was tuned to something totally wrong for the sub way back then, but we proceeded to play some music and got to Edgar Winters frankenstein and had the motor fall off in the box. lol

I really do miss the old analog equipment that sounded so clean, clear and amazing, i really don't think we'll ever have another time like we had back then.

EDIT: Hell mine had to be around 83, 84 or 85 and the pioneer 6x9's were still king of speakers back then to have for a system. lol

3 alpine 15" subwoofers from 1993 running off a soundstream reference 500. it was all in an extended cab toyota truck. 2 15" firing up and one firing forward. Truck was loud and clear.

the year was 1993. Hooked after that!
