SnowDrifter
Personally I'd want somewhere around 1000-1500w on mids and highs... But that's just me. This is, of course, install dependent ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Quiet
All BS aside the mids/highs you use will make more of a difference than how much power you put to them. a cheapie kenwood 50x4 on pro audio could possibly eclipse your 4500.1 on a trunk build. Like Miguels said a 125x4 would be a good start. Give us more detail on your setup. Edited August 9, 2015 by Quiet 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. ChevyBoy95
I have a single 1000w 4 channel that keeps up with my wall on ~12kw. It is all about staging/imaging IMO. Pro audio helps, cone area helps, but all in all, there is no equation to find this out, since there are a TON of factors. 1 Best Score to Date : 160.5 dB Outlaw (47Hz)[4 XM 15's & 2 Taramps Bass 12k's] BL : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/147800-chevyboy95s-4-15s-7krms-wall-1533-db-on-half-power/YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/hitemwiththeflex/

reedal
At this moment I have 2 PA mids rated for 100wrms and 2 soft done tweets rated for 30wrms running active off of a 90x4. How much power is actually going to them? :shrugs: but it keeps up with my two 12's wired for 2600wrms on most songs, some songs it's too much for the 12's, others it's not enough. Placement is more important, and what speakers you use. Not all songs are created equally, so sometimes there's more or less output in certain frequency ranges. Karkov
I have 2 SQ 3500's for substage on 2 FI SP4 15" in custom enclosure. Electrical that can easily keep up. Mids/highs= 1 Crescendo 1100 each channel at 2 ohms (300x4) and with all the speakers I have hooked up it keeps up just fine. Basing things simply off wattage doesn't work IMO. example: pro audio...not pro audio? 1 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. ChillMasterWill
I'd say about 800-1000 watts on some pro audio mids and highs, you should be good then... William - Metter,Ga.
