MotorCityFats13
I still stand by what I said, if you have two sources with the same output voltage your amp gain would be the same. Wether or not that's likely to happen is a whole different story. yes your gain will be the same because the HU cant reach out and turn the knob... no 2 electronic items are built the same its impossible so playing the its the same game is really for the 80's and 90's because we have better tools these days no need to piss on the 3rd rail and take chances
OrionStang
This argument is retarded. It takes 5 minutes to reset gains, if that. Better to play it safe. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Wehan
Just get a dd1, way simpler than an o scope and odds are you won't have a need for 90% of what a o scope can do.
scooter99
This is a funny argument. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR GAINS WHEN YOU CHANGE ANYTHING. Wehan is right. Get a DD1. It's the best investment you'll ever make. Otherwise you're risking your equipment, in my opinion. You simply cannot guess what your max output will be without clipping. ShadeTreeMechanic
It also depends on what level your source music is recorded. Ultimately you are in control of the volume knob, and it doesn't matter what volume number on the head unit you have set the gain as max volume. Listen to it often at less than max volume so you learn what it is supposed to sound like when it is louder. When you turn it up and it makes funny noises or the sound changes, then you are hurting it. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
