if you are going to buy glue..

Recommended Posts

Never had a problem with just plain old elmers wood glue.

Titebond 3 works really well as well.

Epoxy is an awesome product, but as he states it can be a pain to deal with and clean up.

I think titebond 3 is a little better at filling gaps than standard wood glue?

I never had an issue with TB3 at all, and its all I will ever.

I tried gorilla glue and elmers woodglue max on a couple boxes when I use to help someone else build, and had baffles separate from the sides.

Plus the open time in tb3 is why I use it, gives you more time before the glue starts to cure, which means longer time that it has to soak into the wood.

Never yet has TB3 failed me

I kind of wish he would of shown close ups of all broken joints to see if its the glue that let go, or the wood snapping.. :/

Yeah I've seen first hand and on other tests, most of the time the wood is the determining factor for the break. The wood gives before the glue. So really, they are just measuring the woods strength.
