Wasteland_Audio Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 O gotcha, well if you ran the exact same design but narrowed the port by a half inch you would be tuned to 28.5. This would give you about 13.75 inches of port per cube. You could probably get away with this as long as you rounded all the edges and coated the port with resin for smoother air flow.
hammerhead-ky Posted September 13, 2016 Author Report Posted September 13, 2016 i might just have to try that then every hz matters gotta get mad lowz
hdorre Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 I hope "low lows" are all youre hoping to be able to play. If not, then I'd strongly consider a bandpass enclosure. notorious97200 Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 Do you plan to run more power ? I always felt like the increase in power was more noticeable on the low notes. It may just be psycho acoustic though. ckeeler11 Posted September 13, 2016 Report Posted September 13, 2016 What music do you listen to? 32 is pretty low for rap music.
hammerhead-ky Posted September 14, 2016 Author Report Posted September 14, 2016 Yeah lows are all i want right now if i want to go back to normal music later ill build another box for right now though. nothing over 30 hz matters.when im in the car i listen to slowed rebassed music only. nothing else. ever.
zxsonnyxz Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Do you actually need 15hz? 20 I can understand, and if you tune to the mid 20s you can reach low and maintain some output. Also its easy to shrink the port of you need to go lower. hammerhead-ky Posted September 14, 2016 Author Report Posted September 14, 2016 I understand what i want is a bit insane but yes i would like to maintain cone control throughout the subsonic frequency range rather than normal music or average lows. i am in pursuit of the Low Lows. i talked to a guy who has a single nsv3 in a trunk that did really well with his low tuned build and had roughly 4-5 in per square foot with no port noise
hammerhead-ky Posted September 14, 2016 Author Report Posted September 14, 2016 seemed a bit far fetched but he said it was around a 6 cube box with a single 6' aero so im thinkin i might throw a test box together with a 4' aero flared both ends and see what comes out of it
ShadeTreeMechanic Posted September 14, 2016 Report Posted September 14, 2016 If the port is too small, it might as well be a sealed box. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
