SPL.Pantie.Soak
I asked this question because I will soon be going the lithium route, I will be sure to do my best to document my experiences. And if I somehow manage to blow my car up I will try and atleast get it on video. DubNDodge
I'm going lithium in the spring with tax return. 100A of alt from my bullshit car. 138Ah of AGM isn't going to support ~4k clamped. Kali, youre running more alternator amperage than some of us are, but it seems you were fairly consistent with your test. So it seems that even though we wont be able to expect the same numbers on actual voltage values, the differential voltage between each setup is somewhat reliable info. Me rikey. I have an empty spot under the hood since I relocated my batteries to the trunk. I may drop a Group 34-sized lithium in that spot and see how it goes. I'm also not planning on running half ohm at this point, either, so I'm now a bit more excited about lithium. SPL.Pantie.Soak
I'm convinced i can't afford them. lol We will all go eventually when the costs come down to levels where people can afford them, but it takes time for manufacturing to invent new processes that costs less to produce. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. WalledSonic
Good point Broke. 130degF limiting temp is certainly not conducive to being under the hood. Also, 28Ah out of a G34 sized battery isnt enough to even bother with, so i'd probably be better off stuffing an AGM in there. Im gonna need to make room in the back for a G31 sized lithium. Does anyone have experience with varying lithium types such as Li-Ion, LiPo, and LiFePo4?
