Jeremiah stopped by to give me a hand and welded up the upper and lower capacitor tray frames

He also made an upper radiator support. It holds the fan shroud to the radiator at the top too

Fans have plenty of room now. Just need to add bolt holes

My buddy Tom and I took some time to further adjust his 6th order tuning in his Tahoe (enclosure is temporary, don't mind the ghettoness, it will be redone lol).  Lowered tuning of the rear chamber, increased tuning of the front and sealed off the bottom of the wall.

It didn't gain on the meter with me in the truck (further verifies the truck is losing pressure), even though it's much louder and windier. We did manage a 150.1 at 27hz by me getting out of the truck though

And also broke his driver door hahaha

Anyway, back to my build.

Did a little more fine triming and a test fit of the upper cap box frame

That was everything we got accomplished yesterday.  Only 5 more days to finish it for the ISPLL show I'm cohosting lol

Oh and Rusty showed Project Flexington some love too!

Should have more updates tonight!

About to head over to my testing spot to meter my buddy's series 6th order I'm helping set up (his tuning is quite a ways off from what I told him due to some factors he didn't take into account). We changed the front chamber tuning a bit to get it closer to where it needs to be but still about 10 Hz from where I want it. The small change made a hell of a difference already though!

They do work, unfortunately the crossfire xs v2s he bought were dual 2s and not dual 1s that the seller said they were so he's only getting about half the power.  He's going to be getting 2 DC 5ks soon and upgrading to 4 DC Audio XL elites this winter though, so things will be getting quite crazy :)

Lot of progress in the last 24hrs, pretty exhausted so I won't be going into much detail, but got the fans wired, temporary shroud strengthened, 12" fan swapped for one that allows for much more clearance and we're finishing up the rear end right now.  Going to hold off on making the amp rack and most likely do it next week instead as time is getting short.

Was cleaning up the front end in preparation for paint and kinda got carried away on the one spot of rust on the truck (battery tray is right above it) and ended up taking off nearly the whole panel lol. Like, I really needed another project right now lol. Anyway, as much as I wanted to rip off the whole panel, I forced myself to stop here:

20170831_224442-1494x2656.thumb.jpg.19d2b6f43abc2945b6288f7f05be48b4.jpg

Did a bit more cleaning and welded a 16ga panel on

20170901_002056-1494x2656.thumb.jpg.8550010819efb3ce4ba0a6084929047d.jpg

Prepped the rest

20170901_005719-2656x1494.thumb.jpg.9f45c40a4cbbc54ae0e932fec712123f.jpg

And shot a few coats of primer on

20170901_021515-2656x1494.thumb.jpg.884e8f8dd93c9bbef8ee8cc4ea6fdb78.jpg

Currently about to put on the third coat of semi gloss black as well as starting on the top coats under the rear of the truck. Figured it'd be easier to paint the crossbar and new bed mounts without the capacitor cage in the way. More pictures to come!

Managed to finish painting after a 2hr nap. Hoping to wrap up the front end tonight, seal off the wall and get the interior back in today. Capacitor box should be done and hoops for the amp rack today too. Hoping it goes smoothly cuz I'm running outta steam lol
