arcwcb Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 So, I've been running two 12's in the back seat of my Mustang for a few years now, but I'm toying with the idea of doing a wall. The car is no longer daily driven, so reduced visibility isn't an issue. I also wouldn't be adding any power, keeping the same amps and electrical, and probably doing four DC Level 2 15's, keeping it to 2400watts for the sub stage. Anybody here done a wall in an S197 Mustang? Any tips or advice? Or should I stay with what I have? I don't compete, it would just be for car shows, demos, and for me to listen to while driving around. I feel like a wall is a pretty big commitment when done right, more so than what I've already done. Just looking for some input before I commit to tearing it all out and starting over. I know there is another guy here with a old z28 camaro that wants to do a wall with 2 kicker l7s and put in a roll cage so he gets more traction and does wheelies when he races...So as long as your reasoning for doing a wall is not the same as his go for it.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Nah, no wheelies for me, this car is on nitrous right now, but I'll be switching over to boost shortly. It's no race car, and with 70k on the clock, it's no garage queen either, it's just a cruiser for me to have fun in. Not for comps or trophies, but for me. Just making sure I don't do anything to it that will start to be a headache and something I regret. I make sure my installs are clean, I don't want to put the effort in to a wall and then hate it and want to rip it back out. Some people who sell walled vehicles are stuck trying to sell it to someone who wants a wall. If that's not a problem and you always wish you had more, then I say go for it. I have always wanted a wall. notorious97200 Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 Your install is very nice, a,d clean. I can understand you want more, but I wouldn't do a wall in a Mustang with lots of HP. Maybe you can build another box, sealed from the back, with 2 more powerful subs. The wall will destroy your car in the long haul . black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a sealed box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

Buy an suv or small car on craigslist for cheap and wall that. Walls are alot of weight to haul around. You dont want one in something you drive often.

I think he ripped it out because it was beating the living crap our of the vehicle. That would be the only downside I see to a wall... Do you mind fixing everything that breaks due to the wall
