Need Advise On A Laptop

Recommended Posts

I think i paid 800 for mine, its a 17" hp dv9000. 3 gigs of ram, dual core amd, 250 gig hdd. I love it.

love my hp. got one for school little high priced cause i needed a nice one for school but you cen get a few mods down. But if you do get a hp get one with a bigger bat. Its a lil spendy but your laptop will last forever, gives you a nice handle to hang on to, and when its on a table it elevates it so its kinda easier to type on.

I love my 17" widescreen, but if you're wanting tons of time away from the plug consider a smaller screen. Mine will last for almost 2 hours on power saver setting. I'm looking into getting the bigger battery.

yeah also keep battery life in mind cause usually the bigger the screen the lower the battery life cause the backlight is what consumes the most battery life. like i have a small hp tablet pc with a 12in screen which can last me about 4 hrs on power saver mode. also sort of a rule of thumb with new laptops but pretty much any laptop with 4gigs of memory is going to be 64bit os.

heres a very nice laptop for your wife

really strong processor with a big hard drive incase your wife doesnt have an external hd as well.

Not too worried bout battery time. My work one sucked up battery so I was just about always hooked up to power

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

Ok, so it's looking like I like th HP stuff the best. Now aside from getting as much ram and HD as I can. What processor should I go with and what do I need to stay from?
