You took what I said out of context.

Tulsa is a good choice vs. not having Finals at all.

If I had my choice, the main location would be in West Virginia with a 2nd location in Vegas at SEMA.

So you argee that having one location for World Finals, netting 14 people this year is a superior way to conduct finals than in 2007 + 2008?

The attendance does not support this.

I didnt say that now did I but if he was going to have one location it would seem like a better Idea to have it closer to that area if you havnt heard yet it seems that MECA finals is going to be huge and that isnt counting all the east coast guys who arnt competeing

x2...and meca doesnt go further west than than IL....lol...just think if it expanded out west...

i think what meca has going for it (from going to both meca and dbdrag shows) is that it is a lot more laid back....there isnt really many people hiding their system, everyone talks to everyone, and it appeals to someone not willing to spend $5k+ on a street car....u could easily spend half that in a street class in meca...

dont take it as me bashing drag...i would like nothing more than to see all orgs do very well...some are just doing better than others for one reason or another...

and right now there are 34 people doing drive by in meca (meca's version of bassrace)

db1 - 4 competitors

db2 - 8 competitors

db3 - 7 competitors

db4 - 8 competitors

db5 - 7 competitors

i likes me some audio stuff...

I promise to host a huge west-coast event, No bullshit.

as I was reading through the posts I was thinking, why doesn't someone who actually gives a shit take over and host their own event

i'm serious, maybe it's time for Wayne to get a helper or sell or step down, someone with a competitive passion needs to step up. db drag has been getting smaller every year, while meca and others are growing.

Bad location vs not at all I'd do the bad location too. Evidently there's a lot going on that all us competitors don't know about. Better planning ahead of time should take care of that. Drag was the last to announce it's finals location even after Ralph had had spilled the beans & announced the joint finals. From the outside looking in all I see is a lot of disorganization with a poor location and poor turnout as a result. I will be hoping for the best next year. If there is only gonna be one finals location then it seems like common sense to put it in a location that will net the most competitor turnout.
