lol its funny how at our ages, a 2002 yukon still looks like a new car. Hell i think its one of the only vehicle from that generation of cars thats pretty timeless and this generation can appreciate the niceness of. Hell, if i wasnt such a damn penny pusher, i'd definetly rock a yukon/tahoe/burban. So it's been over 100f outside for about 2 weeks straight and my sons 1990 Accord, the learner car, doesn't have AC. I had some money saved up because i knew i was going to help him get something better. And then i drove past a lot and saw this out front. I paid $6500 plus tax/lic/reg and im out the door like $7900. It has 180k miles on it. Interior is pretty damn good, 5.3 vortec engine runs like a champ, engine bay super clean, new brakes, timing belt, water pump, fuel pump/filter and the AC is so frosty, you get icicles on your chin. Anyway, it is bigger and safer then the 90 Accord so i jumped on it. Also, the fact i know almost everything about the car, having owned an 01 for the last 12 years, it is a good vehicle to get. I mean, it sucks i paid $33,000 for my Tahoe, and this car was THIS CHEAP, but what can you do Anyway, the hammy-downs when you are my son, and have a car like this, are pretty damn good...we will start with a deck and a set of Oasis 24's. Anyway, he is a GOOD kid, gets A's and B's, and really stays out of trouble (so far). He deserves it, and it was amazing to hand him the keys. anyway, here is some pics so far! Yes, i am going to remove the molding and make it look cleaner then it already is, and i see all the fender well, no need to tell me.....but it has been litterally ONE day, so bear with us. It is NOT going to be a show car. It is going to be a daily smasher. We will make it look legit though. he is a great driver...i totally trust him. I taught him how to drive in my Lexus though so he has experience Dammit, i got 3 more years before i can drive. hahaha i remember feeling that way too @ his age I even checked out the third row...not bad. This thing seats a LOT of people. Prob gonna put a little bit of beat in it though. Interior is pretty clean for an older ride IMO Time to take that ugly stock deck out and drop in the Sony bluetooth single din. hmmmmm, got some Oasis Gothic 24's just laying around for about 6 years. I don't like all the chrome on them. Don't get it wrong, i got these from Chicken back in '04 and he paid $10,000 for them in '02 when he bought them. Oasis is an expensive brand, especially for a 1 piece LOL - but they are old and played out...i know this. Time to make them look better for about $20.00 Yessir, Plasti-dip to the rescue (video coming soon) Still wet and glossy - but it drys into a satin look, which i LOVE. Gotta love owning my own lift

I work right next to the sun/shadow cut-off line by my garage door and literally move the object over 2 feet, let it dry in my hand, bring it back in and grind, or do more layers. It is THAT fast....but stays wet so long as you are inside the shadow. But anyway, they gave the product some nice facetime, so i wanted to return the favor and post it up here.

thanks! not bad for a $22 dollar facelift (3 1/2 cans of PD) hahaha.....and the chrome was not in perfect shape but it cleaned up nice and the black hides any imperfections we found. WIN.

it's not like i gave him a new Benz or a new ISF. It looks great, runs great, but lets face it, this thing is still an old, used car. I know it says Yukon on the side and now has 24's, but that is because i already had the 24's. No way on earth i would have ran out and bought him some new shoes for this car like that. The Oasis wheels been ROTTING away in the shop for 6 years, so why not Same for the system. Anything he gets will be because i already own it and its just sitting around. In a way, he is lucky....lucky I AM his dad due to my DEEP boneyard lmao

Pretty legit for a first car. Someone did take care of it, that interior is way to clean for it not to have been. Much better than my first car, 84 Ford Ranger back in 91. LOL Much better than that Celica, I think it was, you had back in the day too. Definitely going to have a better system in this. (was stationed in Korea a few years ago and shot you a message via youtube and now up at Beale near Marysville.)

mmmm not really. Anything under 250,000 is still a decent vehicle these days, depending on the brand i guess. Like i said above ^^^ it don't even get a spark plug change till 100,000 miles so 180 isn't shit. Its not LOW mileage but it's not too bad either, especially for a 17 yr old kid The motor is so clean you can eat off it, and sounds, runs strong. I am happy. If it blows, i will put MY 5.3 in it and get me a 6.0 for my hoe. See, i am prepared. hhaha

You will find the application guide on the right side of the website. Just put in your YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, and other info and see what fits. This really makes no difference to me, but I hate seeing people throw away hard earned money on paperweights! I have seen a bunch of used battery postings on the forums over the past couple weeks and they really make no sense. Just in the past two weeks I have seen postings of people selling used batteries and when they show the voltage of the batteries they are in the 10V, 11V, and low 12V range.................. and no one asks a single question of why they are so low??? This should be the first warning sign to stay away. Educate yourself on your purchase before you waste your money!!!!! Any time you store a sealed AGM battery below 12.6V you can cause damage to the battery. When the battery is stored below 12.6V you can get sulfation that builds up on the led plates in the battery, which in turn takes surface area away from the battery's ability to produce power. This sulfation can also cause the battery to short out internally. Another thing is that just because the battery shows 12.6V or higher doesn't prove the battery is in great shape. Heck the seller may not even know the battery is damaged, because the battery is not currently being used. A bad battery can look great as far as voltage goes when you charge it up, but as soon as you put a load on the battery it can fall on its face. Then you just payed how ever much on a used battery that can be used for a paperweight or you may be able to get $3-$6 out of recycling it. Buying used batteries is a risk! I dont care if it is an XS Power battery or any other battery it is a risk. Can you find used batteries that are still in great shape? Yes of course you can, but if you see pictures of the voltage and it is crazy low.............. then my advice would be to stay clear or don't be upset when you get the battery and it is worthless. Saving that $30 on that used battery you just bought really just cost you a lot more than buying a new one. Again its your money and you can do whatever with it, but it amazes me to see people buying useless batteries and wasting their money. You invested in your audio system with the Subs, Amps, and enclosure, so it really makes no sense to go the cheap route on the electrical and not get the return on your investment. Your amp and subs are useless if you dont have the proper power to give them.

what do you do if for some strange reason your 16 volt battery bank (charging at 18 volts) goes flat therefore you will need a jump start but you dont know anyone else that runs 16 volt batteries, do you need a 12 volt starting battery at the front or is everything getting power straight from the voltage step down moduals? i am pretty intrested in going with 16 volt batteries because i already have 2 350 SMD alternators from mechman with a ajustable voltage regulator that will charge 16 volt batteries with no problems and because i have not bought any batteries yet i figure it may be worth looking into, only problem is i have never seen it done before so im not sure how safe it is to go to 16 volts.
