  1. I like it!! Looks nice!! And I don't think the circuit card will have any issues with moving/becoming dislodged, because that's a really tight fit now I REALLY want to get to work on my "rebuild"
  2. Thanks Steve! It might be a little bit before I can install it with my VM-1, but when I do I'll post it I like it!! Looks nice!! 3. Still no updates. Still need to buy wiring and a few other items before I start rebuilding. The amp/batt rack and new enclosure will be the first things done before redoing the doors and A-pillars. But I did buy one thing that I've been waiting to come out for a while Thanks Steve!! And Antheny, who took over in emailing me, and set me up with an invoice. It'll be a little while before I have it installed though. One step (purchase) at a time (every payday).
  4. Just had a "grandma's cleaner" sales rep come by. I couldn't stop laughing because I had already seen a video of someone else selling it. I'll give it to them, they know how to push their product, but I just don't want it

  5. I thought it was you at first So did I, till I saw your quote of audiolamb's guess. super excited and then not so much
  6. Haven't done much lately for anyone looking at this. I threw some deadener on the roof (no pics ) it was a bit of a bitch to get the headliner back up. I had a buddy but he's more of a spectator than a helper. but I hope the deadener will help the crazy roof rattle. I can't stand it, so we'll see. My ship is going underway for five weeks, so I won't be on much if at all after next week
  7. Decaf music in the mornings on the way to the ship makes me not want to get out and work

  8. Moved into a new apartment with the wife, I'm tired of moving/unpacking things. I've lost track of how many times I moved as a child being an army brat and child of divorced parents going back and forth between them, how many times I've helped my family members move, how many times I've helped others move. I think when the wife and I decide to move into a house, I'm just gonna pay for a moving company to load and unload everything. I just don't want to do it anymore, e...

Haha I like that idea. If I'm ever capable of doing that, I will, because pretty much everything we have is second hand from both of our families.

  9. The only time I get squeal from my 1" shorter belt is if the tach is maxed out. Which I've only done a couple times. But that's only 4 months old now. So we'll see
  10. I don't have an AMM-1 yet :'( But what do you mean by "what is the most efficient orientation"? Like, direction of subs and port? Center or side port? Slot vs aero? That kind of stuff? Just trying to understand what you meant, cause if its those, I'd like to understand how that would change the power factor. Thanks! Sorry if it's a thread jack.
  11. If you are trying to charge a 12v battery at 16v, yeah, you're going to have a lot of issues, not just with the battery. 12v batteries rest between 12-13VDC, and are charged from 13.5-14.4VDC. Optimum alt charging voltage is 14.4
  12. I have a question for someone more skilled in Ebonics than myself... What in the does "you brought the pots and pans on this one" and other "pots and pans" euphemisms mean? I started noticing it in a few songs.

Got it. It was throwing me for a loop. Thanks

  13. Underway this week, time to catch some Zzz's

  14. If it wasn't intentional then why would you do it a second time? I call b/s on that. But it's your stuff, do what you want with it. Plug in your other speakers/tweeter to that channel one at a time to see if it stays whining out of that channel with different speakers or not. If you don't hear it anymore when using other speakers and the other tweet, you have a bad tweeter.
  15. Turn subsonic all the way down > make sure there is no hi pass filter on the head unit set to act as a subsonic filter for the sub level > double check you're using the correct tone > all wires/probes are properly connected Lastly, the CC-1 has two operational settings if I'm not mistaken: 1)set filters, 2) gain match. Make sure you don't set it to gain match or it may not show that the signal is there until you revert it back to setting filters.
  16. Ok. It's hard to make out if it's lit only when you turn it or if it's constant. First: did you check the signal coming from the head unit for your head units max clean volume as stated in the directions? Second: leave the head unit at the maximum clean volume, amp gain all the way down. Is the distortion light on or off when checking the amplifier output for distortion? Third: if the distortion light blinks only when you adjust volume or gain, then that's fine if it goes away when you stop. If it's constantly on, you need to back the gain down until it disappears. As long as you follow the direction book front to back, it's a pretty easy tool to use. The video wasn't too helpful in troubleshooting your issue, at least not to me.
